Simply in the middle of the jungle, with a super nice garden, a room in the house of that family was huge and super confortable. Really much better in real than in the pictures. I just stayed one night, but I think it would be better to stay more nights in the middle of the jungle and that luxurious acommodation. I was really positive dissapointment as for the price (I am backpack) i didn't expect too much and I was like in a 5 stars hotel

Guests at the hostel can enjoy a continental breakfast. Staying with Bunty's family was like being with my own. He was super responsive from the very beginning and came to pick me up to the station upon arrival. I took the apartment as I was going to be working for quite a few hours a day and I wanted space, a desk and good connection (and great view) and it was a great choice. The room is spacious, full of light (no curtains to the exterior) and a little terrace ideal to have a tea and enjoy sunrise or sunset. The house itself is beautiful and has a garden outside if you also want to have a tea or your b'fast. I got different b'fast every day (my favourite was the "pitu" with curry) and they adapted to my hours, as every day was slightly changing. The family lives in the house and they are very discreet and lovely. Anusha helped me also with the understanding of the SriLankan cuisine and made incredible dishes. We also had fabulous chats and she taught me how to do some recipes. I extended my stay because I really loved it and could have been there for a long time. Bunty also helped with an issue with the router and, while being fixed, he lent me some data from a hotspot. it's all about finding solutions and helping constantly! He even dropped me off at the station at 4.45 am the day I left!! That's kindness!! Hospitality out of the ordinary and a fabulous place to stay! Thanks for treating me like familiy!!

The accommodation features airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available. Proximity to Peradeniya Railway Station (500m, less than 10min walk) is beneficial for those staying for Ella train boarding. I was unable to reserve a ticket as train was fully booked, arrived at station 5min before boarding, purchased ticket and secured a seat in unreserved carriage, no problems! However, this certainty shouldn’t be the only motivation for staying. A kind greeting by the humble owner, Asanka, was a warm welcome to the property. Respectful, intelligent and intuitive host who creates and maintains a safe and comfortable environment – valued as a solo female traveller. Asanka was more than happy to share his expansive knowledge on all aspects of Sri Lanka and speaks excellent English, a fantastic opportunity to learn. Warmly decorated and well-maintained property. Spotless linen which is professionally cleaned. Large, shared bathroom was clean, towel and soap provided. Asanka also maintains a beautiful garden with various plants and fruits, lovely space to listen to the birds away from busy Kandy city. Location close to stunning Buddhist temple, local eateries, supermarket, Royal Botanical Gardens (with diverse range of flora – and gentle monkeys), hospital, university and public transport. Quick bus (or tuk tuk) ride is easy to access if needing to visit Kandy centre. However, the Peradeniya area had everything required. I was unwell upon arrival, Asanka was caring and compassionate, providing advice to access healthcare, healing medicine and drink in the morning (in addition to breakfast). Breakfast of local cuisine was delicious, cooked by his Aunties. Whilst I didn’t require dinner I noted this could be an option if required. Host made contact upon booking providing valuable advice on options for arrival and was happy answer ongoing questions after the stay. Please support Asanka and the Peradeniya area! And give the beautiful dog ‘Roy’ a big love – he visits in morning with Aunties!

All units include a safety deposit box. I LIKED EVERYTHING! The moment i stepped in the property, it was giving me good vibes. The room was clean, the bathroom was also clean because they clean everyday and cleanliness is what travelers appreciate. The bed was the most comfortable bed i had so far in sri lanka. I was able to sleep well. I didnt have any trouble sleeping at all. There was an AC, tv, mini fridge inside although it was plugged but i believe it was working. I just didnt use it. What you pay includes good breakfast and dinner so it was really worth it. The owners were lovely 🥹 thats the thing i love the most about this hostel. On my last day, they saw me working and offered me coffee. So sweet 💗 I only booked one night but ended up staying for 3 nights. What a great place to stay ♥️ THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING 🥰 I WISH TO GO BACK!
