Well worth the effort to travel to experience a lovely ryokan, it's host and the town. I paid for dinner and I'm SO glad I did. It was a highlight of my stay and in deed a highlight of my 5 week trip in Japan. You sit in a sunken seating area and watch the ryokan owner/cook prepare what felt like a large number of individual dishes. The food was absolutely delicious. I was concerned about hearing other guests because, being an older house, the walls are thin - but the night I was there all the guests were respectfully quiet. I had a view over the "river" which may be a mis-nomer - but it is a peaceful stream running through the pretty street. I highly recommend a visit.

Objekt Guest House DETARAMESO u gradu 'Yamakami' ima fitness centar, vrt, zajednički salon i terasu. Ovaj objekt uz zajedničku kuhinju gostima nudi i roštilj. Gosti mogu koristiti bar. Love this place- i will return some day.

Objekt Youth Hostel WANIHAMA-Beach side Lake BIWA nalazi se u gradu 'Otsu' te nudi smještaj uz plažu, na 15 km od znamenitosti Budistički hram Sanzen-in, a nudi razne sadržaje kao što su vrt i bar. We got a room with its own toilet and bathroom for a great price. Traditional tatami style room makes it feel very humble and homely. The staff was very friendly and accommodating - they drove us to the station very early in the morning.

Objekt GUEST HOUSE NAGORIYAnalazi se u gradu 'Hikone', na 1,7 km od znamenitosti Dvorac Hikone, te nudi smještaj koji sadrži bar i besplatno privatno parkiralište. The owner is a great guy and the hostel is very charming. I slept well and had a great time.

Objekt GYPSY TAKASHIMA u gradu 'Katsuno' ima besplatne bicikle, vrt, zajednički salon i terasu. Amazing value for a big room in a comfortable, hostel-style accommodation. Takashima is a very quiet and beautiful town on the lake, and this is the perfect place to stay. Highly recommended!!

Objekt 片原楽家 旅人の長浜町家ドミトリー smješten je u gradu 'Nagahama'. Ma 14 km od znamenitosti Dvorac Hikone i 8,9 km od znamenitosti Željeznički kolodvor Maibara, a sadrži terasu i bar. The capsule room was so cozy and suitable for me. I have a good sleep yesterday.

Staff was amiable and very helpful. It was situated directly on the waterfront and there is a great waterfall just a short hike away.
