Takako, is an incredibly kind and attentive host, that makes the stay extra special. There’s a coffee machine, tea, and a well-equipped kitchen with a fridge, electric stove etc to prepare smaller dishes in the kitchen. The common room is warm and inviting, perfect for meeting other travelers. The beds are comfortable, and the women’s dormitory is nicely furnished. There is a bus stop right outside the hostel and a Lawson is just a few minutes' walk away. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at so far – highly recommended!

The islands it self would be amazing to explore by car.

The property is around 15 km from Jotobana, 18 km from Kusuhara Church and 18 km from Kusahara Christian Prison Ruins. Gyogasaki Park is 22 km from the hostel and Imochiura Church is 23 km away. We stayed at the dormitory style room in Tabito. Each section for the sleeping area (bunk bed with curtains) was very clean and comfortable to sleep in. A shared kitchen is equipped with good equipment (toaster, microwave, electric kettle, flat top stove) and a big fridge is available to use. It was very nice to cook and eat to reduce the cost.

There are some decent restaurants and some really stunning parks and beaches nearby, too. I'd recommend staying here for sure!

Our little ’room’ was really comfortable. We are two people travelling with backpacks, and there was just enough space to open them. I guess that would not be possible with a suitcase. I slept really good, it was comfortable. I recommend to eat delicious breakfast in the cafe! We also used a washing machine on the roof, it was just fine.

The property is non-smoking and is located 1.9 km from Nagasaki Museum of History. The owners, Yukari and her husband, and the staff made the difference, They were really nice and helpful. Everything was really clean. I had the tatami room which was really spacious. There is free tea/coffee and toast with jam which is a nice addition looking at the price. There is also a laundry service for 800 yen. It is also located nicely, 5 minutes away from a tram station (line 3 and 5) and just 10 seconds away from a shinto shrine that you have to visit. To reach Kagamiya, you can get tram 5 (Hotarujaya) or a taxi (about 1400/1500 yen) from Nagasaki station. For the light sleepers, there is a road next to the hotel and the walls are thin. If you like, the owner also has 2 kimono rental shops, one recently opened on Dejima island, go check it out. Overall, I can really recommend Kagamiya, if I ever go to Nagasaki again, this will be my first choice.
