Me and my partner booked a private stay and loved our time. The place is very beautiful with an amazing view of the valley. It's also in close proximity ( approx 2 km walking) of the Kodai town, making it an ideal place if you love to Walk and enjoy the quiet (we ended up doing a lot of walking, as we like it!!) The hosts are amazing, they are very approachable and cool people to hang around with. The food is yummy as well:) Highly recommended if you are looking for even a private stay with a bit of socializing (you can choose not to as well ☺️). I was also working the whole time I was there, they have a very good and stable Internet connection, making it a good option for digital nomads.

Set in Coonoor, 22 km from Ooty Lake, The Birdhouse Backpackers Hostel features a garden and views of the mountain. Superb place to stay. Lots of character, beautiful views and nice walks around. Dipthi the manager was very helpful and professional. We only had one nights stay and would like to have stayed for much longer. The evening meal was delicious and would definitely recommend it. Lovely breakfast sitting in the garden enjoying the company of everyone there and the lovely views. Very peaceful and relaxing place. My friend had a room to himself and I slept on a bunk bed in the shared male room. It was very comfy and I had a great nights sleep.

First i met Ravi The Manager of this property this property is near to matrimandir, and the dorm bed are so comfortable.they have colourful common areas too chill and aesthetic vibes. I really recommend this place for solo travellers and budget travellers
