The place is green, cool, and peaceful—you almost forget it’s in the middle of a busy city. It was my first time staying in a dorm, and it was great: only four beds, all clean, comfy, fragrant, and with curtains for privacy. There’s a guest kitchen, a drying area, and fast WiFi. Breakfast is made to order. I had banana pancakes with honey—delicious—plus a fruit platter and a choice of water, tea, or coffee. The bathroom is always clean and fresh, the toilet paper never runs out, and the scent is pleasant. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, polite, and full of smiles. Special thanks to Mas Wawan. The garden is lush and relaxing, and you can chill by the pool. I loved being able to escape the city’s noise in a place this comfortable.

I booked this place to stay briefly while waiting for an overnight train. However, the facilities were much cleaner and newer than I expected. It was the cleanest hostel I've stayed at in Indonesia. The host was also friendly and pleasant. Next time, I'll just stay overnight.

I’ve been staying at Abrakadabra for a week and am planning to stay more. As a female solo traveler, I’ve felt like it’s my own place, having privacy and security. The host is very kind and speaks good English. He served good breakfast at the requested time and helped me book affordable tours in Jogja. The place is cozy, clean, and very close to the city center with lots of good restaurants and places to visit around. There’s a beautiful rooftop surrounded by plants which is great for having a coffee and chilling out. I could also use the kitchen to cook for myself. If you’re lucky, you’ll encounter other guests to hang out with :)

The hostel is brand new. It is very clean and tidy, and the staff is lovely. they also help you arrange tours, bike rentals etc. The location is alsı good, lot’s of cafes and restaurants nearby. Definetely recommend it
