Social Ducks is an absolute gem in the Borobudur area. It’s super new and intentionally designed — so many little touches which make it feel more comfortable and nice than the average hostel. We stayed in the private room for two nights and the bunk beds were roomy, AC was strong, and WiFi worked well. The bathroom & shower setup is also lovely, with the best showers I’ve had in Indonesia so far. Just outside the hostel are gorgeous rice paddies you can walk through, and we also loved borrowing the hostel bikes to ride through the neighborhood — there are SO many cute cafes within walking or biking distance. The hostel owner is very kind and helpful, and they give lots of great food/activity recs on their Instagram. If you’re a backpacker or budget traveler staying in Borobudur (which you should!!), don’t hesitate to book Social Ducks.

We had a wonderful stay at this homestay, our whole family loved it! The environment was even more beautiful and comfortable than I had imagined. It looked even more stunning in person than in the photos online. The shared spaces were thoughtfully designed and very enjoyable, and offered a wide range of services, including breakfast, laundry, bar and rental of swimming gear. The host was also incredibly friendly and attentive, taking the time to explain all the facilities and services in detail 😊. Considering all the benefits included, the price was very reasonable, truly great value for money! 😄

The double room was clean and spacious, the bathroom was nice, and Jojo was amazingly helpful. Definitely recommend!!

I’m usually not a big fan of dormitories or hostels – but my time at Indigo completely changed my perspective. It was by far one of the best stays I’ve ever experienced. The hostel is run by a warm-hearted couple, Silvia and John, who were incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely communicative. You feel welcome from the very first moment. The entire team was also super friendly, relaxed, and just really cool – there’s a special vibe here that’s hard to describe. What truly made this place unforgettable were the people. On the day before I left, we all went on a day trip together – Silvia, John, the staff, other guests, and even some locals – to a remote, stunning island. We spent the whole day swimming, snorkeling, relaxing, chatting, and just enjoying life. In short: Indigo isn’t just a hostel – it’s a place that feels like home. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The BRI Bank didn't work for my Visa Card, so I transferred the amount to Feri's account via Wise and he got me the amount in cash. He organized snorkling and a motorbike for me and I felt right at home! I loved everything about it. I will come back again!

Adi the host is a really helpful, friendly guy. It's just a little out of town, so no noise from the mosque.

The place is really cute, you feel at home. The host are amazing, they help you with everything and speak really good English which make everything easier! They serve breakfast everyday even though I think it’s not mention which is a real + Perfect to meet people as well. I definitely recommend it
