The location is 15-20 minute walk from town and the beach, however I loved that as it was quiet and surrounded by nature. The outside space/garden at the hostel was a great vibe - hammocks, art work, fire pit, monkeys, etc. Very chill. Kitchen was also well equipped, and there was a mini grocery store less than a minute walk away.

The king room was a huge separate building and one of the comfiest beds ever. Tons of space. The pool was so refreshing, I saw tons of birds and iguana. The people were really friendly, and the kitchen had what you need to cook + some coffee in the morning. I appreciated that it was a little out of the way of the busy part of town, ~a 10 minute walk from the main stuff in town

Set in Hacienda Santa María, 23.7 km from Miravalles Volcano, Santa Maria Volcano Lodge Hotel & Restaurante offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. A hidden gem! Such an amazing experience in the rainforest, the sounds of the rain on the roof all night was truly magical. We arrived in the evening (and hungry) and had a beautiful dinner cooked with so much care & love.

Offering an extensive garden with an outdoor lounge area, a shared living room with TV and swimming pool, Hostel La Botella de Leche is located 300 metres from Tamarindo Beach. hands down the best hostel i have ever stayed in! staff is wonderful and hostel is super clean. we traveled for a few weeks thru Costa Rica and this was the only hostel that didn’t have bugs in the bedroom and kitchen area wad always clean. vibes are incredible and super easy to make new friends!
