The kitchen is large, with two sets of stoves, so everyone can cook without waiting for a long time. In Calafate in January, the sunset is very late, and the kitchen has great lighting. The breakfast is rich and delicious. The opening time is also suitable for the tours. The toilet and shower are very clean, the hot water for bathing is very large, and there is a hair dryer. It is not far from the bus station on foot, and it is convenient for public transportation. There is a small blue house at the intersection, which is a supermarket. It sells delicious beef and reasonable-priced Coke, hahaha.

At America del Sur Hostel, all rooms and dormitories have beautiful views of the valley and mountains beyond. They offer private bathrooms, lockers and heating. Great big hostel! The facilities are top notch, great double private room, the dorms were spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. Thee ensuite bathrooms were also well appointed and always clean. The common spaces are great to eat, work and relax - the views are incredible. The location is perfect, 10-15 min walk from both the bus terminal and the city center. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. It's a large hostel so the socializing vibe is limited as there were lots of groups and couples but still possible to meet people if you're social or join group tours.

This is by far the best hostel I’ve stayed at! Andy, the owner, is incredibly kind and always ready to help—he went out of his way to top up my phone and even let me use a computer. The beds are super comfortable, and the breakfast is delicious. You can really feel the heart and effort put into running this place. Every detail is well thought out, making it a truly welcoming and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend it!

It features white and honey wood exteriors and is conveniently located only 2 blocks from San Martin Avenue, the main commercial street. Great location with super friendly staff. In a city that has a lot of tourists, this place was very reasonably priced and they treated us like visitors, not tourists. They were honest about what they thought we should and shouldn't spend money on, and they were patient when our Spanish wasn't the best. The place has pretty big rooms and a nice kitchen.
