Location and staff are amazing!

Excellent breakfast, many options. Also loved the location and that there was a pool which my grandson used almost everyday. The apartment was clean and towels were changed everyday. Any issues were quickly dealt with.

It was such a pleasure staying at the Aires hostel! The owner was such a hard working woman and you could feel that she put her heart into every detail. We arrived quite early in the morning and I asked if it was possible to check in earlier. She told us there were guests checking out in the morning so it was not possible to get into the room earlier but when we arrived, she already had the room ready within such a short time!! We checked in way earlier than expected, which was super nice :-) all other areas are incredibly clean and she provides some basic things in the kitchen like coffee and fresh fruit besides the standard kitchen utensils. Alexandra and her family and partner took great care of us and it felt a lot like staying with a local family. I can only highly recommend staying here if you’re in Pico!! Besides the incredible interpersonal experience, the hostel is also in a good location. Just 5 minutes walking to the next supermarket and there are swimming spots very close by as well. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such an amazing stay at your hostel!

It felt something special to stay in this spacious old convent built of the local volcanic stone. I stayed 2 nights in a double room and 2 in the female dormitory which I had to myself. Staff are on hand in reception all day til midnight. They were all really friendly and so helpful, particularly in arranging my trip to Pico Mountain. The breakfast proved a good opportunity to meet and talk with other guests
