Everybody is super nice and welcoming and always ready to help. They gave us good suggestions what to do during our stay. I am specially grateful for the suggestion of surf lesson, as I had a blast there. It's also great that the lodge has a lounge on the roof, where you can grab some food and drinks and enjoy them in a chill vibe with some good music.

The House of Sandeman is located in Vila Nova de Gaia, within the historic building of the Port Wine Cellars of Sandeman.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The place is spotless, with great decoration, and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and there are daily activities at the hostel.

The breakfast was good we had a choice of croissants, bread, and cake along with some cheese and some cold cuts. They have juice, tea, milk, coffee. Not bad at all.

So clean, well organized and in a fantastic location. Some great little touches, free tea and coffee, good cooking facilities, fridge storage, free toiletries, good showers in clean, spacious bathrooms, and luggage storage. Good that they also observe the 'no noise in dorms rules' between 10pm and 9am. And the 2 managers were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again, and highly recommend to others, 10/10

The stuff was great: really nice and welcoming!:) I really liked the vibe and the atmosphere of the hostel. Met some cool new people there. The location is by the river, in the center, and you can walk everywhere with ease. Room was clean and tidy, I liked that the beds had their own curtains for the privacy.
