This hostel was better than I expected. It is not really a party place as some comments I have read suggested. I liked the kitchen and the outside area and that there was enough space in the room for everyone's luggage.

The manager and staff were really friendly and nice. The beds were comfortable. there was lots to do within the hostel if the weather conditions were bad. good facilities for showering and cooking

A beautiful place with nice people, one of those special ones. The house was nice with big lounge where people can spend time together. In winter we got electric blankets which was nice. Has a big beautiful green garden with tables too. The owner Pam is very nice.

Very nice, clean and quiet place. We really felt welcome! The bed was very confortable, the kitchen was perfect for cooking a lot of kitchen tools and relaxing atmosphere. We will probably be back for our next hike trip in Abel Tasman.
