Namaste. To all at Rest Up Kathmandu Hostel. A beautiful, relaxing,respectful, safe, warm, and friendly feeling among all the interesting staff. The water is hot, cleaning standard very high. Everything is so Shanti and kind. The guests have all been interesting with a community feel. To say I highly recommend it is not enough. I am loving my experience at this hostel. The location perfect. Come and tell your interesting adventure travel experiences to people, fellow travellers, who are genuinely interested, supportive and get buzzed up with it. Or just take yourself into contemplation, meditation or read your phone, the WiFi is super strong. I look forward to spending more time here. Approach Kathmandu with a Shanti Shanti. Slowly frame of mind Plenty of adventures to be had. Enjoy.

I had a wonderful stay at the center of Thamel. The room was beautiful, offering a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The staff was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. I truly loved my experience and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

They went over and beyond the call of duty by getting me a heater and filling my thermos with hot tea, as I had just come from warm Thailand with nothing but a swim suit, shorts, tank top, and flip flops, plus they got me a cab ride with their friend for a good price. The towels and comforter smelled extremely clean and the people were friendly and cheerful (the visitors and staff).

Everyone was so nice, and instead of just hosts and guests, people become new friends They arrange daily activities (mostly completly for free) and that was a great opportunity for us to get around and do stuff in Kathmandu/Patan It is very clean and neat with nice facilities

Really nice community vibe here for travellers to meet one another, with relaxing surroundings, only a short walk to the main streets in Thamel. The restaurant here is also really good and well priced! Staff are great especially the manager Sunny. They can also help to arrange everything for your trekking plans including leaving your luggage there if needed. There is also great views from the roof top. Can’t beat the value for money here! Thank you for a wonderful stay 🙏🏼💕

I loved my stay at Swastik! Such a personal experience as I got to speak with and get to know the owner and manager personally, who were both so friendly, fun and knowledgeable about the area. The hostel was clean and well maintained and the staff are always happy to help and genuinely want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I also met such nice and interesting people at the hostel, I can’t say I met anyone I didn’t like! The food was also amazing and really reasonably priced. I ate the best dal bhat I had in my whole Nepal visit and all the vegetables were organic and grown on the hostel’s own farm. Bhaktapur was also an incredible city with such a beautiful insight into traditional Nepali culture with the friendliest people!
