My stay at Diamond Shine Hostel was an absolutely wonderful experience. What I liked most about this property was the exceptional hospitality and boundless cooperation I received from the owners. They made me feel truly welcome, even offering tea and coffee, which was a lovely gesture. A situation arose where I forgot my power bank in a taxi, and they went above and beyond to help me contact the taxi driver and retrieve it. They even took me in their own car to assist with this matter. Mr. Mahesh was incredibly respectful and kind, as were his daughter and wife. Their entire family made me feel right at home, and I received nothing but kindness and wonderful treatment from them. In short: A fantastic place with incredibly hospitable staff and family, always ready to help with respect and kindness, and thoughtful touches like offering tea and coffee. I highly recommend this place!

I really enjoyed staying here! The bed was crazy comfortable and one of the best I had in Sri Lanka so far! It’s really clean and the provided dinner and breakfast was also very yummy and a lot! For me the location was really nice at the one end of the lake but it’s a little walk (15 min) to the city center! But I really enjoyed walking by the lake! Would definitely come back

I loved everything about this property! The lovely gardens, the food, the homeliness, the shower but most of all, the hospitality of the hosts! The property itself has been decorated with love. My son and I received such a nice welcome from the hosts, we were blown away by their hospitality. Jude is highly trained and this shows in the service he provides. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Wonderfully decorated and homey place. We had a private room with a bathroom and a private garden, which was really lovely. And the staff is super friendly and helpful and prepares some great sri Lankan food. We hope to be able to visit again soon.

Super friendly staff; they very helpful and kind! Several games in the lounge area - it was nice to relax and play while waiting for breakfast or before going to bed. The rooms are great - comfy beds, AC and ceiling fan, very clean and the bathroom was clean. Nothing bad to say about the place - and I’m looking for another one just as good (for such a great price) as I travel Sri Lanka - I’ve yet to find it!
