I extended my 3-night stay by another night here. Honestly, you could easily stay for at least a month. Tasha and Kirsten’s hospitality, the location being a paradise, the wooden house I stayed in, and its incredible comfort all made me feel right at home. The place has a plant-based kitchen, and they’re currently experimenting with new flavors. My favorite was the Scrambled Tofu Wrap! It was amazing—I practically licked my fingers. The bar’s cocktails are also excellent. You can watch the landscape from the bar through the sea and the trees! This is a perfect spot for vegan and vegetarian friends to stay at a very reasonable price while enjoying the peace of the island. There are also some small animal friends like cats and dogs around. In the evenings, there’s even a larger lizard buddy who walks along the upper beams of the bar, looking around. This place is truly wonderful—definitely visit!

The accommodation blends into the beautiful natural jungle and beach landscape and feels perfect for the setting. Be advised that it is a bit rustic but there's a shower and a flushing toilet and our bed was really comfortable. There are no plug points in the room but you can charge your devices in the dining area. A mosquito net is provided which was great as it meant we could leave the windows open for a cooling sea breeze at night. We were a stone's throw from the water but also surrounded by trees, it was magical. The staff were helpful and friendly but unobtrusive. The food is traditional Khmer cuisine and everything we had was delicious and made with a lot of care. There are also a few other resorts in the bay that serve different food styles. Sunset Beach is more remote than some of the other bays on the island and does not have a ferry port or really much other boat traffic making it perfect for swimming, paddling and snorkeling. This does mean that you have to hike in to the accommodation but it's completely manageable, just be sure to pack in a backpack rather than a suitcase or kit bag. All the pertinent information and directions are sent out in an email as soon as you book. This stands out as one of our best beach holidays, highly recommended.

I was supposed to stay 3 days, I extend to one week. I came here to chill a little bit after months of traveling non stop and I had exactly what I was looking for. Chill for a fews days while meeting new peoples. I love the common area. It's perfect to chill close to the beach, the chair are so comfortable and the view is amazing. They also have a lot of really good board games so you always have something to do and you never bored. I tried both the dorms and the hammock (not available with booking), it's clean, comfortable you have a fan in the dorms so it's not that hot and the mosquito nets are good. Fred, the owner, is really an amazing person. He always make you feel welcome, always smile and he is always ready to play games with you. I met really good people in my stay here. It's so easy with a common area like this! I really recommend this place, is clearly one of the best hostel I ever stayed.

Perfect little seafront guesthouse for backpackers. The owners just finished renovating the place. M'pai has great spots for swimming, snorkelling and plankton swimming, a great variety of really good restaurants and an extremely welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. In that environment, the owners created a lovely, simple and creative, affordable guesthouse. There are fans and curtains in every bed of the dorm and they have two small rooms for more privacy as well. They are genuinely nice and super helpful so all in all we had a great time staying with them.

Suzie and Matty are the kindest people I have ever met. I instantly felt at home. The beds were very comfortable with soft pillows. There is a ocean breeze , so I didnt use the fans half the time. Everything is perfect. The only thing that s the downsize is ya may have to leave .

Very friendly place with family atmosphere and chilled space. A bit hidden from the night rush but still in a centrum of the village. The owner and his wife are very kind and both speak English. Their home food was extraordinary and fresh coconut from their tree served with metal straw was our daily dessert. They have also cozy outdoor bar in a wooden style. I would definitely come here again. Every time we met them they had some honest and warm smiles for us and were happy to help us with everything needed for some paradise days.
