Charming and wonderful place to stay. The place and rooms are clean. Staff are friendly and kind. They are able to converse in English very well. Had fun playing all sorts of games with the staff as it was raining the whole day during my stay. Only regret is to not have stayed longer in the hostel.

Very confortable appartement with plenty of space and good equipment. The beds are very comfy. The living room is nice, and so is the bathroom. Good location if you have a car.

Location is perfect (10 min away from the ferry terminal, next to a great coffee shop that opens early and the main commercial area in Ishigaki), the hostel is very well-equipped and the management is attentive.

Taketomijima Guesthouse and je Taime is located in Taketomi. With a garden, the 1-star hostel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom.

Let it be clear. This is a guesthouse. But what you lack in privacy, you win in warmth and in meeting new people. Huge bonus: when told that my son was very into wildlife, Ayumi, our host, went out of her way and found him a coconut crab to observe. We were really made to feel welcome and the place is clean and well kept. Really nice atmosphere in the evenings around a glass of the local sake. Also, the guesthouse’s bike rental is for 24h, so it was really nice to ride around in the dark.

Everything was fine. I was greeted on arrival by the owner and my stay was a pleasant one. My schedule was a little difficult but the owner was very flexible about this, which I appreciated. The location, 10 minutes by bus from the airport (with the stop immediately outside), was very useful.
