Exceeded my expectations. The host was kind and welcoming. The accommodation was clean, spacious and felt homey. I stayed in a single room. The shared living area was comfortable, there was a tv with Netflix. The combined washer/dryer machine was awesome! It’s coin operated though so make sure you have Japanese coins, I think it only accepted 100 yens, best to confirm before you arrive.

Staff were so welcoming and arranging. Being able to have a free lift before check in was massively helpful. The location at the bottom of the slopes of Tsugaike is perfect too. A really positive and warm atmosphere - I highly recommend staying there!

It's very clean, the staff is nice. It's perfectly located near the gondola station, with a private parking and also the big car park of the station a few steps from the hostel. The kitchen is clean and well equiped. The bed in the dormitory room is wide, comfortable and convenient with a light and plugs to charge the phone.

Best place in Japan by far. I had a fantastic time at the Bohemian Shelter. Gaspard is an incredible host making everyone feel at home and super helpful. The host Raymond is a legend, really nice guy. Great accommodation. Everyone is so nice and local shops, restaurants, bars and buses to the slopes. Can’t recommend this place enough 100% will be back and staying here 👌
