Micasa hostel is a nice and safe place, especially for women travelers. I am glad to see that hostel is working towards women’s safety by providing women safe environment in the hostel. Staff: Hostel staff was friendly and helpful what’s related to hostel. Location: Hostel has very good location. There are souvenir and clothing shops, café and restaurants, fruit markets, pharmacy, autoriksha and buses around the hostel. Central bus stand is 30 minutes of walking distance from the hostel. French quarter/White town, temples and cathedrals, rocky beach, promenade boulevard and botanical garden are 10-15 minutes of walking distance from the hostel. My room: My bed was very comfortable and located at the gentlemen section of the hostel (ladies have own section where men are not allowed!). There are lockers under bunk beds, reading lights and plug/outlet next to each bed, air conditioner in the room. Remote control from the air conditioner can be provided to you if to ask reception. Otherwise, you will need to call reception each time when you need to turn on/off air conditioner. Shared space: There is a common male showers with toilets, a shared (with ladies) kitchen with everything needed for storage, cooking or warming own food, a living room for chatting with other travelers, an elevator/lift, an iron with board, a filtered water to refill empty bottles, a balcony to dry wet laundry and two rooftop terraces. Please be aware that there is no electric kettle in the kitchen. But there is a pot where you can boil tea like Indian. Cleaning: Hostel was very clean all the time. Hostel is the same as in booking.com pictures. I can highly recommend this hostel for everyone.

It was truly a memorable experience. The vibe of the place is very peaceful and deeply connected with nature. A big shoutout to Raj, the host — he made me feel right at home and was always helpful and friendly. There were some jamming events going on in the evenings. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect — right on the main road, close to all the cafes. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Auroville! 🙌

Parth was a legendary host and made us feel very welcomed instantly. He went out of his way to prepare delicious food for us and helped us get a scooter. The location itself is beautiful - an oasis in a hidden corner of Auroville - with a variety of crops growing all over the property. The hut experience was also amazing, and you can hear the sounds of birds and wind at night. There was also an amazing communal vibe, where we sat around the fire, listened to music, chatted and ate prepared bbq food. Definitely recommend!

The place was a backpacker's dream, I couldn't ask for more. There were bicycles for rent, a nice common area, the bathrooms are cleaned every day, there's a restaurant right next to it if you're too lazy to go into town, and the staff was very friendly and helpful!

Everything was amazing. The hosts were super welcoming and hospitable. You can rent vehicles directly from the hostel, there are several plug points in the hostel, there is a functioning kitchen for those who prefer to cook their own meals, the rooms are clean,etc. I personally found the hostel safe as a solo traveller.

Absolutely Delightful Experience staying at OSTEL! The vibe is unmatched! The staff is friendly and helpful. Dinesh, JP, Anil make you feel at home with their hospitality and warmth. The inhouse cafe has good food. Need a cafe on the rooftop as well ! The place was exceptionally clean, given the fact it's right next to the beach and covered with trees on all sides and is a backpackers hostel. Just request the owners of the property to privatize the beach patch right in front. That would make the property a 20/10.

It's completely a unique experience in Unpack. One of the best hostel I have been ever. From the check in to checkout everything was amazing in details. Host Kavya and Prateek are amazing people. The property really has a vibe.

Before being in this hostel, I was in another 2,5 km from the center but this one was really well situated, in the main active center of Pondichéry (that's not what said google when I followed the 'distance to center', if only I knew it before 😥). The dormitory was quite large with a balcony, a kitchen to share, all really clean. It's like a house with huge spaces recently renovated, really really nice ! And the welcome is warm. It was a really good surprise for this price !

Micasa hostels - my first solo trip hostel and boy am I glad i picked this place. Very safe and well connected, it's walkable distance from all cute cafes of pondi. Hosts Sam and Sandeep very friendly , they helped me with everything - bike rents, places to visit etc. Hostel is very well maintained, clean. Washrooms are constantly being cleaned by their staff. I would definitely recommend this hostel to others and especially solo traveling females.

Loved the stay as it was the first time for me to stay in a hostel. Loved the people and played games with random people... Loved the place. Should definitely choose this to stay if you are very open to meet new people and explore new options while traveling
