Hostels in Pirgos

I highly recommend this hostel in Fira! Its location is superb, being just a short distance from the bus station and the main square. The hostel is a fantastic find – exceptionally clean and very comfortable. On top of that, Marina is a wonderfully helpful and kind host.

Very good location, beach is 3 minutes away, restaurants and supermarket also near, bus stop. Fair prices. Very nice staff. Clean rooms. We loved it here.

I stayed at Caveland with family (my two kids and my mother). The room was much more spacious than I could have anticipated. I was expecting a much more smaller room, with several beds fit within the available space (based on past experience). Instead, what we got a essentially a small apartment, with two separate bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and a small living room, all spacious, well equipped (e.g. air condition, wireless, towels etc) and clean. The balcony outside the room was nice for relaxing and also observe the kids in distance, playing in the swimming pool. The kids enjoyed the large swimming pool, it was ideal for the warmest part of the day when we did not want to move around in the island under the Sun. Breakfast was basic but more than sufficient. Everyone was very helpful and kind. The dogs were also a nice company. The village has few nice places to eat, or you can also order to get food delivered at Caveland. Overall, I hope that the fact that Caveland is listed as hostel in some booking websites is discouraging from some families to even consider it as an option - I instead cannot recommend it more.

Everything! It was definitely the best decision that I could make when I chose this hostel. First of all, Diana is an amazing host. She is very attentive, polite and friendly. The hostel is in front of the bus station and close to the main spots in Oia. The hostel is very clean and cozy. You can also use the pool from an associated hotel. I had a blast!
