Great value for money! A wonderful new place in Aswan; super clean, nicely decorated, cozy and with spacious rooms and private bathrooms. It is on the main street, and the Nile view is beautiful. The host, Biba -brilliant young woman entrepreneur, is incredibly and resourcesful. She was also so kind to upgrade my room. Highly recommended for both solo travelers (they have dorms) and couples, and especially for those who want to support young women entrepreneurs.

Basic rooms but the views and direct access to the water makes it 10/10. You can dip in for a swim or even rent kayaks and the owner ghandi has a wealth of local knowledge so be sure to ask him for tips. Really enjoyed Aswan and wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

David was amazing and provided a full day tour for us to see places around Aswan. We could not have been happier with everything. The hostel is simple and nothing fancy, but it is really enough to stay in for a comfortable bed and helpful hosts.

I had an amazing stay at Wanees Hostel! From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and welcoming — more like staying with friends than just booking a place to sleep. The hostel is very clean, with well-maintained rooms and bathrooms. You can tell the staff really care about keeping the place comfortable and tidy. Speaking of the staff, they were incredibly kind and helpful — always smiling, offering great tips about the area, helping with tours, and even assisting with transportation. The location is perfect — close to everything, easy to find, and in a safe and quiet area. If there’s a rooftop or terrace, the view and vibe are just the cherry on top — the perfect place to relax after a long day of exploring. The price is very reasonable for what you get — great service, comfort, and a memorable stay. It’s definitely great value for money. I highly recommend Wanees Hostel to solo travelers, backpackers, and anyone looking to experience authentic hospitality in a cozy, friendly environment. I’d definitely stay here again!

The hotel is in a privileged location, with stunning views of the Nile and direct access down a set of stairs. The surroundings are peaceful and beautiful, perfect to relax. The room was excellent: spotless, cozy, and tastefully decorated. Asmaa, the owner, was incredibly kind and welcoming. She also cooks wonderfully – if you’re lucky enough to try her traditional homemade food, you’ll truly enjoy it. The breakfasts were fantastic too, and one morning she even prepared a takeaway breakfast for our excursion. I absolutely recommend this place and would love to stay here again

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They gave me plenty of recommendations and did not overcharge for water (like many hostels and hotels do). The area felt safe as staff as well as locals from the village would assist if need be.

Property is in a quiet area of Aswan, away from the noisy city. Crossing the street it has an exclusive area to swim into the Nile river or do some kayaking, which are rented for a cheap price. They also offer water and soft drinks and a small breakfast included. You can easily spend many days relaxing in the hostel, without even leaving to do attractions.

Great owner who was very helpful, the room was nice, and I loved the view from the rooftop! The hostel is on the island and is very easy and cheap to reach by public ferry (takes 5mins). Walking around the island is also fun. Check out King Jamaica for some good food. :)
