The place is in an authentic Egyptian village, just in front of the Nile and some minutes walking from the city center and main attractions. It's also very clean. The owner Ghandi is simply amazing, he helps you for everything you need (directions, suggestions and tours) and is always ready to share some words with you

Staying at this hostel was an amazing experience from start to finish! It’s not just a place to sleep—it’s a place where you feel at home, meet incredible people, and create unforgettable memories. First of all, the staff is absolutely wonderful. They are always available, friendly, and genuinely care about making your stay enjoyable. Whether you need recommendations, help with bookings, or just a nice chat, they are there with a smile. Their hospitality really makes a difference! The facilities are top-notch. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the shared spaces are well-maintained. There’s a great common area where you can relax, work, or socialize with fellow travelers. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it easy to meet new people from all over the world. The location is another big plus. It’s conveniently close to major attractions, restaurants, and public transport, so getting around is super easy. Whether you’re here for sightseeing, adventure, or just to unwind, you’ll find everything within reach. One of the best parts of my stay was the activities and tours offered by the hostel. They’re well-organized, fun, and a perfect way to explore the area while making new friends. It’s not just about the places you visit, but also about the connections you make along the way. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and social place to stay, this hostel is the perfect choice. I can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be back

Best views of the Elephantine island. Quiet, peaceful and comfortable. I especially like the walk between the hostel and ferries through the village, where you can witness and experience the local, pastoral lifestyle. They showed me a great hospitality.

It’s a beautiful place, build by a retired mother that worked as a teacher and now wants to leave a bussiness for her two dauthers. You can see the love on the place and wanting to do stuff as good as possible. They have little semiapartments with shared half kitchens (not stove but fridge, a sink, glasses and plates), the room I stayed had a balcony with beautiful views to the nile river, had airconditioning but also a fan, so you can chose. The shower has a heater, and though it has an interesting design just in the middle of the toilet, it works and is very good. The owner incredibly nice, very nice person to talk with. Her dauther is the only one doing Bird watching tours in Aswan (even being featured on the Lonely planet).

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They gave me plenty of recommendations and did not overcharge for water (like many hostels and hotels do). The area felt safe as staff as well as locals from the village would assist if need be.

Property is in a quiet area of Aswan, away from the noisy city. Crossing the street it has an exclusive area to swim into the Nile river or do some kayaking, which are rented for a cheap price. They also offer water and soft drinks and a small breakfast included. You can easily spend many days relaxing in the hostel, without even leaving to do attractions.

Great owner who was very helpful, the room was nice, and I loved the view from the rooftop! The hostel is on the island and is very easy and cheap to reach by public ferry (takes 5mins). Walking around the island is also fun. Check out King Jamaica for some good food. :)

This village is great if you want to experience local life. The staff here are really nice and always ready to help with a smile. It's very safe to walk around this island even at night. I felt comfortable with the Nubian people and trusted them completely. For those seeking conformity, this hostel may not align. But if you want to relax and enjoy the peacefulness while looking at the stars, this is the place to be
