I can't say enough good things about Hostel Downtown Mostar. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at home. The staff are some of the nicest people I’ve met while traveling — super helpful, full of local knowledge, and always ready to share a laugh or a story. The hostel has a relaxed, social atmosphere without being loud or overwhelming. It’s a great place to meet other travelers or just unwind after a day of exploring. Everything was clean and well-maintained — the rooms, bathrooms, and common areas were spotless. The location is amazing — just a few minutes from the Old Bridge and everything else you’d want to see in Mostar. I also joined one of the day tours they offer, and it was a real highlight. We visited some stunning spots around Herzegovina that I never would have found on my own. Whether you're backpacking through the Balkans or just stopping by for a night, this place is a perfect choice. I genuinely didn’t want to leave!

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
