We took a risk and booked a hotel with no reviews...and we are happy to have done so :) Evelyn is a brand new hotel, spotlessly clean and our room looked exactly like on photos (rarity in Vietnam). The bed was so comfly and the duvet so soft it felt like sleeping on a cloud. The location is perfect - a 5 minute stroll to the lake and 10 minuts to the Old Quarter, but away from the worst noise. The owner was very responsive through WhatsApp and even directed us to the airport bus to help us save money for taxi. We could leave our bags at the reception after the check out. Unbeatable price/performance, we were sorry we could only spend one night.

Great Value for the Price. Nice and cosy rooms. I stayed two times here. Each time in a different room. Very helpful and comunicative. Rik is a very calm and peaceful Person as much as his homestay is. I can highly recommend his place. You do not need a fancy Hotel. Here you can feel like you are staying in someones privat Home. The apartment is hidden in the middle of buildings so it is really quiet, you cannot hear the traffic or any outside noise. The location is very convenient to the old quarter. The owner is very kind and helpful. They also let us leave our bags in the lobby for a few hours after we checked out

It is located in the middle of Hanoi's old quarter, very close to all the cafes and food vendors. The room is clean and big enough for two people, our room had a window to the bathroom, which helped keep the room comfortable and airy.

The room was amazing, spacious and very clean!. The bed very very comfortable and the sofa too. Is located very near the center of the old quarter. You will find everything near the hotel. And the owner is amazing, she help us with the planning of our trip in Vietnam and recommend us what to skip and what to do 100%. Everything was wonderful 🔥

Host is so so kind. She cooked us different delicious breakfast every morning, even took into account our recovery from an unfortunate food poisoning incident from street food 😆. The room was clean, helpful cheap laundry service, free bottles water was amazing and the location was great near old town. It was located inside a spa/massage shop on a popular street but it was very quiet.

Old House Homestay had great character and charm — just like the photos. Everything listed was accurate, and the location was amazing. Best of all, Mr Tri was an awesome host — friendly, helpful, and made the stay really easy. Would definitely recommend if you're after something with local character and a great vibe.
