It kind of feels like you’re camping in a cabin. The man who runs the guest house is really kind and gave us lots of information about what to do and hiking trails. The breakfast was toast and cereal which was great! Overall basic but nice and good location.

A really lovely & peaceful place away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby towns. The host was helpful even prior to our stay with my queries and was very accommodating when we arrived. Rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable! Outdoor + dining area was spacious and well maintained, we managed to cook our own dinner both nights and the space was very conducive. The host also allowed us to harvest their organic fresh veggies for our meal! At night if the skies are clear you can also stargaze - with the lights off you can see so many stars. Breakfast was also provided which was very convenient. With free entry to the nearby goat farm, plus other nearby attractions (sky farm, boh tea plantation) you can still find things to do without having to go through the congested areas. Would definitely recommend this place if you want a unique stay to unwind, disconnect and just relax.

Basic living with standing fan (cos the temp was already 21-22⁰c) which was sufficient for a one night stopover. Lots of food available along the main road. Very quiet and peaceful. Residents weren't allowed to wear their own footwear within the premises but slippers were provided, hence the corridors were clean too. Refrigerator and microwave oven are shared. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. Will stay again if in Tanah Rata.

Had a great stay at Oastel! The room was nice, clean, and located right in the city center, with restaurants and cafés just a short walk away. Their Land Rover tours were an amazing experience—super helpful and well-organized. Highly recommended!
