Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a year-round outdoor pool. The owner, Mr. Teo, is very nice and we got a lot of info from him. We stayed here again for a night after coming back from Danum valley to break our drive back to KK. There are light snacks and free water refill throughout the day. Place is clean, safe and very relaxing. Staff are nice and very approachable - even allowed us to cook our Maggi noodles in their clean kitchen for simple dinner as we had too much to eat at Danum. Highly recommend and will love to stay here again if I ever return to Lahad Datu.

We had a wonderful stay at Seladah Homestay. The property consists of two combined houses, making it quite spacious with a total of eight rooms (two rooms downstairs and the rest upstairs). It features an RFID door lock system and an automatic gate with a remote, so there’s no need to use a traditional key. We arrived late at night, but self-check-in was convenient, allowing us to settle in without waiting for the owner. The homestay also offers high-speed Wi-Fi, estimated at around 500 Mbps. Since all guests live under the same roof, you’ll have the opportunity to meet your housemates. Our rooms, located upstairs, were designed for two people and came with private bathrooms, which was very convenient. The living room has TVs available for use, and a washing machine is beneath the staircase. The parking area accommodates about three cars inside the compound and two additional cars outside. The owner was also very responsive to my inquiries. Thank you very much for a great experience! I will definitely return for my next stay. :)

Offering garden views, Merdeka Guest House 2 is an accommodation situated in Kuching, 5.5 km from Sarawak Stadium and 10 km from Borneo Convention Centre Kuching. I arrived late (around 22h30) and even though he likes to wake up at 4h30, we kept talking for about half an hour. Then, he goes: "do you want me to show you around?" >> he went on giving me a guided kuching tour in his car. He even wanted to buy me a drink but no shops were open at midnight. Besides this, he would leave traditional sweets for breakfast every day. Legend!!

Hosts Emily and Willis are wonderful — great recommendations, fun conversation, and free rides in the local area! The home stay itself is beautiful with birds and monkeys visible from the pool! Delicious free breakfast included and super cheap laundry services. Such a wonderful place… we can’t wait to return!!
