The house with a garden under the shade of a huge kiwi tree (never seen anything like it) has some history and sits on a quiet street right at the center of the city, a short walk from both the Sahat kula clock tower and the Ribnica old Roman bridge. Relja answered all our questions, provided great local recommendations, and even helped us find a car rental when everywhere they seemed to run out of automatics.

They don't speak English, we easily communicated with Google translate and some of our body language though. Highly recommended if you want to take a break from your everyday urban stay.

I needed a one-night stay after my flight before heading off on a bus, with one day to explore the city, so the conditions of this accommodation were quite adequate for this.
