The gardens and pool are delightful and the food at Panchi restaurant is excellent. The breakfasts, in particular, are delicious and plentiful. Most importantly we were made to feel very welcome and were looked after extremely well. Madura, his family and great team of staff were fabulous hosts. Madura made helpful suggestions for local sights and activities and was always responsive to our queries. We particularly enjoyed visiting the local Turtle Sanctuary, a mindful and ethical way to experience these amazing creatures. The beautiful almost deserted beach can be reached via a short track and, whilst the sea is too rough for swimming, there is a delightful rock pool nearby. They made me feel at home and helped me to arrange every move/tour I had planned including a beautiful safari with a private jeep.

At the homestay, the units have bed linen and towels. This place has the best location in Tangalle area. You can drive easily to Tangalle or Hiriketya or Dickwella and explore the beaches. The best beginners surfing beach is also really close - Kudawella. Our room was spacious, had really good and quiet AC, with nice balcony and kitchen area. Very clean, good shower and extremely nice host. There are several family restaurants nearby, we can really recommend The Boat Kitchen and Athena Seafood - great authentic food freshly made with really reasonable price (we were off-season). We came for one night but decided to stay 7 nights instead - because we felt good here and great place to stay. Not so turisty as Hiriketiya and everything is still so near by!

Host is so kind thar he will take great care of each and everything. Room was so nice and clean with chilled AC and fan. Host picked me up from bus stop which is extremely helpful because it was raining and there were no tuk tuk there. I had to go to Ella later, host provided best guidance how to get direct bus. Host took me on his car to bus stop. Bus stop was quite far. Host ensures I boarded bus safely and then he left. Best host I had ever.

They also organised scooter and helped with all aspects of organisation for our trip. Reasonably priced laundry service. Fantastic varied breakfast.
