The rooms were spacious and had heating, which was important because we were there when it was only 17 degrees Celcius.

I had an amazing stay here and truly felt like part of the family. The hosts were incredibly warm, caring and always made sure I was comfortable during my stay. Their hospitality was exceptional and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The family is very kind and genuine — the son took us on a beautiful hike and guided us through the nature trails, sharing interesting stories and local knowledge. It was one of the highlights of our trip. The father also offers city tours, and he made sure we got to see the best places while learning the history and culture of the area. They really go out of their way to help their guests enjoy the stay to the fullest. The home was clean, comfortable and peaceful. You can feel the love and effort they put into maintaining their place and treating guests like close friends. This is not just accommodation, it is a warm local experience that you won’t find everywhere. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a relaxing, friendly and memorable stay. I will definitely come back again!

They are kind, welcoming and extremely attentive to every detail and it truly feels like a home away from home. Shan was always on hand for any needs or requests. The tour he arranged of the nearby tea plantation, waterfalls and secret view point was a highlight and reasonably priced. My room was tastefully decorated and extra cosy with the comfortable bed and thick blankets. The traditional Sri Lankan breakfast prepared by Daphne was amazing, I will miss those honey rottis for breakfast! I highly recommend Rustique House to anyone looking for a cozy place to stay in Nuwara Eliya. Shan, thank you for a great stay and opening up your family home to guests. We had an absolutely amazing stay at this guest house in Nuwara Eliya! Everything was perfect: the place was spotlessly clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and it truly felt like home. The breakfast was delicious and hearty, the ideal start to the day. What made our stay even more memorable was Rajith, the wonderful owner. He went above and beyond to take care of us, ensuring we had everything we needed — from providing water and laundry service to recommending great restaurants and organizing our tea trail excursion. He even helped with transport to the town center and arranged last-minute emergency rides, including a 5 AM trip to the train station! Thank you, Rajith, for making our time in Nuwara Eliya so special!
