From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly and helpful owner and his amazing family, who ensured a warm welcome and served for us delicious lunch (the dining experience was truly a delight). One of the highlights of this homestay is its’ beautiful view from the terrace: you can sea the Lovers Leap waterfall and tea plantations (walking distance). The room is spacious and cosy, even with the patchwork rug on the floor. There’s also a nice common living room. Overall, our stay at S and D Homestay was exceptional. The combination of the hospitable family, delightful meals, beautiful view and the refreshing cool air made it a remarkable experience.

He was also very helpful with practical tips, especially regarding the train. His suggestion to board the train one station earlier to secure a seat was absolutely brilliant. We truly enjoyed our stay in Nuwara Eliya. Highly recommended!

Really comfortable beds, stunning peaceful location, close to some excellent hikes and waterfalls and somehow the area remains off the beaten path. The family and host are absolutely lovely and the food, ohhh man the home cooked food was just so so so good!

The rooms are clean, it smells very good, the beds are comfortable, we got extra blankets for the night. The food they prepare is so delicious and afordable (10 eur for two people and you get soooo much food). Rajith is an amazing host, he told us so much about Srilanka and he even took us on a walk through the tea plantations near the accomodation. We recommend staying here! 😊
