Offering free bikes and garden view, Wilpattu Mookalan Resort is set in Habawewa, 39 km from Kumbichchan Kulama Tank and 39 km from Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the guest house free of charge. The guest house features family rooms. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. They booked a safari in Wilpattu only 1.5 days before our arrival and everything was very well organised. The safari itself was much better than expected: we had the luck to see 4 leopards, a sloth bear and 4 golden jackals, on top of many beautiful birds and reptiles. The resort provided breakfast and lunch to take on the safari, as well as snacks and drinks. Everything was very tasty and plenty. Also breakfast and dinners were very tasty and more than we could eat. All in all, we had a very good stay. Thanks so much!!!!

Kalhara was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond—organizing a cultural evening, a great safari trip, and arranging tuk-tuks at fair prices. He helped with everything before, during, and after our stay. The guesthouse was clean, comfortable, and surrounded by nature. The breakfast was also very good! Highly recommended!

We were truly grateful for the exceptional assistance provided by the property owner. His efforts in arranging our Wilpattu Safari and city tour guide made our stay even more memorable. The staff also left a lasting impression with their exceptional service. From assisting with our luggage to warmly welcoming us with a choice of coffee or tea, their constant smiles added to the warmth of our experience. The breakfast was not to be missed - every aspect was meticulously prepared, resulting in a delicious and fulfilling meal. We extend our heartfelt thanks for making us feel truly at home, even when we were far away from our own.

The homestay features some units that have a balcony and lake view, and each unit has a private bathroom and a desk. At the homestay, units come with bed linen and towels. Our stay at Oleenas was great! The room was spaceous and clean with hot water and a rack for wet clothes. The beds were comfy and it was very quiet at night. The food offered was the best we've had in Sri Lanka so far and they tried to change the breakfast every day a little. But the best about our stay was the hospitality from Jeewa and his family. He helped us planning our stay and organised absolutely everything for us! For our trips to Sigiriya, Dambulla and Polonnaruwa he even drove us with his Tuktuk and explained everything we saw along the route. But also before we even arrived he organised our transport and told us we can count on his help for the rest of our trip. Would recommend 100%!
