The house is also very clean and spacious. The caretaker, Sadi (I hope I spelled the name correctly), is a super nice guy and always ready to help. He makes staying here even more special. Overall, I would highly recommend to stay here. It is also possible to organize a safari trip. The price seems fair, and the driver will pick you up directly from the house. I was very satisfied with how well it was organized.

I wish I had more than one night in this beautiful property. From before arrival to departure the hosts could not have done more to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. They reached out to see if they could offer any assistance and after hearing we were travelling via train, offered to pick us up in their tuk. Although it was only 2 km from the station, we were grateful as it started raining just before we arrived. On arrival we were offered a welcome drink and shown the rooms. It’s a very private property, set apart from the main house, and offers 2 separate rooms which are perfect for families and small groups. The rooms are well designed and appointed with mosquito nets, a/c and hot water. There are great views from inside and out, with a number of different areas to sit, relax and enjoy the lake views. We enjoyed a fantastic home cooked dinner in the outdoor covered dining area and breakfast in the elevated hut on the lakefront which was perfect for watching all the birds. The dining area also had a fridge (if you want to byo), kettle and filtered water. We chose this place due to its proximity to Hurulu (the hosts also helped with organising the safari), but I hope to return and enjoy more of the great food and hospitality.

We were truly grateful for the exceptional assistance provided by the property owner. His efforts in arranging our Wilpattu Safari and city tour guide made our stay even more memorable. The staff also left a lasting impression with their exceptional service. From assisting with our luggage to warmly welcoming us with a choice of coffee or tea, their constant smiles added to the warmth of our experience. The breakfast was not to be missed - every aspect was meticulously prepared, resulting in a delicious and fulfilling meal. We extend our heartfelt thanks for making us feel truly at home, even when we were far away from our own.

The property itself is amidst the Paddy fields on one side & the jungle to the other side, which makes an ideal place to stay if you love nature. Thilakaratne has his own farm & he lays all those fresh produces on your table everyday. The Food they served were all very delocious & they were also very reasonably priced. I also took the tuktuk services, where he himself drove me around the Anuradhapura city ruins,concluding in Mihintale. If you are in Anuradhapura, I definitely recommend this place

The owner Jeewa is ready to assist you and organize for you everything you might need - from transport, Ayurveda massage, safari, daily trips or ginger biscuits 😀 They have a lovely daughter Oleena and we hope she will be the second generation manager of the home stay. His lovely wife Masha cooked traditional food for dinner and we love it. The room is very big and clean, as well as the bathroom. You will have a lovely private terrace and spectacular quite mornings with birds songs. And, of course you will have a breakfast. The location is in the forest and it's perfect spot for those who want to escape main road and traffic noise, but it's only 10-15 min walk to it. There is some small markets around in case you need something, a Buddhist temple, nice restaurants and of course all Jeewa's support.
