Kevin, the owner, is absolutely fantastic. He drove us to the rental place to pick up our car. He gave us loads of information for the area and even provided free washing powder for the coin laundry around the corner. He also provides free tea/coffee and water and luggage storage. What more could you want! Extremely good value for money.

The guest house features family rooms. A traditional Japanese house, newly renovated while preserving its historic charm and in Kyoto‘s prime location. The host was very friendly and helpful and we were also offered to use his bicycles! We loved staying in our room. It was spaceous, super clean and cosy.

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Azukiya is a recently renovated guest house located in Kyoto, 700 metres from Shoren-in Temple. A hot tub and a bicycle rental service are available for guests. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen, full-day security and currency exchange for guests. Our quick two day trip to Kyoto was excellent and it was made perfect with our stay at Azukiya. When planning this last minute trip I was surprised that this B&B was available. The pictures and description on the site was exactly what we got. It was just PERFECT and gave us the Japanese experience. Our host was the sweetest and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. There are add-ons if you stay like bike rentals and breakfast but we didn't take advantage of it but we could smell her cooking every morning and it smelled AWESOME. We wish we would have taken advantage of that. The location was perfect for us. It was far enough away from the city center for us and in walking distance to the places we wanted to visit. It was also very close to the subway that we used to start our trek back home. All in all, this place was everything we expected and even more. We hope to visit again in the near future.
