Only a 30 minute drive to get into town, but I recommend this place to everyone wanting an authentic Japanese stay on their ski trip in Japan.

And even though there is a language barrier, we managed quite easy to understand each other with translator. The room is clean and was previously warmed up, super cozy with all you need. Little kitchen, possibilities to wash clothes by hand, a shower/mini onsen style. And enough space to do yoga and chill. I moved here from Nozo Hotel where the rooms are very small and was super happy with what I found when I opened the door.
