The homestead is in a great location on the back waters and Arun organised a canoe to pick us up directly outside. There was a lovely veranda to sit out. We had good home cooked Keralan food.

The property is located on a quiet canal on the edge of the city, which is a great location as it is peaceful and only a stone's throw away from the backwaters! Overall, an amazing place to stay whilst in Alleppey.

It’s in a good location in Fort Kochi, close to major sights. The couple that runs the inn were exceptionally welcoming and kind to me, and were very responsive over WhatsApp and in person. They helped me arrange an airport pickup, accommodated a late-night check-in, and booked for me at my request tickets to a Kathakali show and backwaters day trip (which was exceptional) and made all the logistics of my stay very easy. This was easily one of the best places I’ve stayed on my month-long trip to India.

Staff is very welcoming and helpful, they even booked a train ticket for me. Breakfast was amazing, with mainly Indian/Kerala dishes. Lots of activities for kids, nice (small) swimming pool and a tower with a lovely view. The whole property with the garden is very well maintained

Munroeisland Backwaters Homestay, a property with a shared lounge, is situated in Munroe Island, 44 km from Varkala Cliff, 45 km from Sivagiri Mutt, as well as 46 km from Janardhanaswamy Temple. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and Kollam Railway Station is 24 km away. We really enjoyed the opportunity to stay with a warm, welcoming family. Vijeesh helped us see everyday life inside this small community - so much better than busier, touristy places up the coast. If you're interested in a calmer, more laid-back experience of the Kerala backwaters, we would recommend you stay with Vijeesh and his lovely family.

Soly and her husband are extremely kind, help in any way they can and treated us like family. Their house is the cleanest place I've ever stayed at, with very spacious rooms, amazing view of the forest, hot water and super delicious breakfast. We booked one night and ended up staying 3. A good restaurant just outside for lunch or dinner too. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed :)
