The communication with the staff was very good from the beginning. The staff ( Marcella) was very helpful during the checking process and also helped with the tour arrangements. The place is as shown in the pictures. The room was small but very clean and maintained well. The restaurant that was nearby was also good. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to all my friends.

If you are planning to do the Bromo walking tour and other guests like to join, you share a car (and the cost of it)... or not if you prefer to go alone. We had the chance to share cars for the Bromo walking tour and for the Tumpak Sewu waterfall and could cut the cost and have a good time with fellow travellers. Rani and Oussama offer solutions for most of your travelling problems: transportation to Maison Manendra from Malang, Bromo Tour without other people around you, tour to Tumpak Sewu with a fantastic guide, taxi to Surabaya... and many more. Rani and Oussama travel a lot in and out of Indonesia and are well aware of what you need during your Java trip. If you are looking for luxury, it is not the place for you. As for myself, I got far more than I expected. Merci Rani et Oussama, c'était absolument super!

Situated within 36 km of Mount Lamongan and 45 km of Mount Bromo, Brak Homestay features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Sukobumi. This homestay offers free private parking and full-day security. Lovely home stay, comfy beds, very helpful and kind owner. He told us of all the options to visit Mount Bromo (one could book the tour directly via the owner) and we ended up staying at Brak for 2 nights and doing the Mt Bromo trip directly from Probolinggo. We pre-ordered a Gojek (like Grab) at 2 am for 250k, the driver drove us to Cemorolawang, we did the hike and everything, had breakfast in Cemorolawang, then came back to Probolinggo. We can back with the same driver, but one can easily also use the shared minivans, it is easy to get from Cemorolawang to Probolinggo during the day. When we came back, the owner greeted us with tea and we had a good rest. Doing Mt. Bromo from Probolinggo is easy and less tiresome, we’re happy we chose this way! I can only recommend this guesthouse, this was Indonesian hospitality at its best that we experienced.

Recommend if you want a budget friendly, comfortable and near the beach home!

Very well maintained, breakfast is good. The lodge is located far from city in quite countryside, it is precious feature of that place for busy Indonesia. They also offer dinner which is quite good and you may ask for lunch as well (Pisang goreng / fried banana was excellent here and coconut which is growing right in front of your villa and dragon fruit behind the fence). We definitely want to come again and experience a jungle trip to turtle beach one more time. Nice staff and the place is tranquil. Unforgettable memories left after this lodge and turtle trip

Situated in Banyuwangi, Mocca Guest House features free WiFi and units fitted with a kitchen, balcony and seating area. The property was built in 2012 and has air-conditioned accommodation with a patio. The guest house features garden views, a sun terrace and a 24-hour front desk. We love how the staff treated us, especially the owner, Annie. She was responsive to all our questions. We were very lucky that Kawah Ijen reopened the day of our stay and I first heard the confirmation from Annie. The location is already near from the port so if you will be going to Bali after staying at Bayuwanggi this is a good option. The hostel also arranged the Ijen tour for us. We will surely stay here again if ever we comeback.

The room was simple but with a cool vibe and clean. We had private bathroom and AC. No hot shower but it was ok. The owner was extremely nice and helpful. She spoke great English, helped with our onward trip to Bali and answered all our questions. We also took a shared trip to Ijen which was great (small group, good guide, all nicely organized and good price). They were so nice that they returned money when one of us had to cancel last minute. We also got great breakfast in the morning (egg sandwich, fresh fruits, coffee and a cake). Would totally recommend this place
