Just 1 mile from Lake Windermere this beautiful Victorian house is set in a peaceful location between Windermere and Bowness. It offers vintage-style, luxury accommodation including Egyptian cotton linens, flat-screen TVs with DVD players, as well as free Wi-Fi. The place is very quaint and I loved how each room is themed differently on explorers and nature. Also, loved the fact that we were welcomed to some warm mulled wine( it was freezing outside) Also, the breakfast is amazing !

Silverdale Guesthouse, a property with a shared lounge, is located in Keswick, 17 km from Buttermere, 32 km from Askham Hall, as well as 35 km from World of Beatrix Potter. It is set 3.3 km from Derwentwater Lake and offers luggage storage space. Lake Windermere is 41 km away and Cat Bells is 7.8 km from the guest house. It was immediately apparent why this is one of the highest-rated properties in Keswick - very close to the bus stop for the service to/from Penrith, just outside the central part so that it is very quiet, very roomy for a solo traveller, a host who immediately made me feel welcome and a good breakfast every morning. It's also across the road from where the Threlkeld-Keswick Railway path starts, so that was one more point in its favor. The WiFi was consistently available, and the room was cool throughout the day. Definitely helped make my stay in Keswick worthwhile and enjoyable.

The property features quiet street views and is 38 km from Derwentwater Lake and 42 km from Muncaster Castle. Each room has a patio with views of the garden. Great location short walk from the train station. Close to both Windermere and Bowness. The room was very quiet and comfortable . A lot of thought has gone into the design of the room, maximising the space with everything you need. Really good shower with lots of hot water . The hosts were very friendly. Everything was spotlessly clean.
