We loved everything from the cleanliness of the rooms and the way they are decorated, to the location and the neighbourhood and the closeness to Metro stations (only a 3 minute walk). Plaça de Catalunya is only a 10 minute walk away. Our highlight of the trip and our stay were definitely the employees, specifically front desk workers, they were really attentive, tried to fulfil our every wish, provided all the informations we needed and we had a few really nice chats with them; Leo and Antonio specifically, thank you for everything!

Set in a restored 19th century building, rooms at Violeta Boutique feature contemporary décor. All include city views, free Wi-Fi, a plasma TV and a spacious private bathroom. Perfect location, really lovely staff - gave lots of advice and very helpful. The beds were super comfortable (soft) and the room was very nice. Very hot water in the bathrooms and good water pressure, free water bottles every day. I will definitely stay again. Nearly everything in walking distance - shops, metro, tourist stuff.

Hostal Olga is located on the Costa Brava seafront in Sant Antoni de Calonge. Rooms with a private balcony and sea views.

The rooms at the Olga feature simple décor. Each one comes with a fan and a private bathroom, and some have a flat-screen TV. The staff was just sweethearts all of them. We felt so welcome and they helped out with everything. We asked for a wine opener but they took care of our bottle and a minute later they arrived with it to the room in an ice bucket. The rooms were also so beautiful and fresh. Dyson hair fans and lovely balcony even on the backside of the house.

Pension Ciudadela guest house is opposite Barcelona’s França Train Station and 100 metres from Ciudadela Park. It offers basic air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, and private bathroom facilities.

All rooms at the Ciudadela are heated, and there is a TV. Most rooms have a work desk and a private balcony. The location is amazing, also the rooftop that is available is cute and private, very cozy.

Hostal Goya has an ideal setting, 5 minutes’ walk from Plaza de Catalunya and Las Ramblas. It features stylish rooms and apartments with free Wi-Fi access.

The Goya offers comfortable accommodation with contemporary décor and wooden floors. Each room has air conditioning and heating. Some rooms also have a balcony. The location is PERFECT, which is at the city centre and close to the Plaza Catalunya. A lot of places are within walking distance. Staff are nice and friendly.

Pensió Bellmirall is located in the centre of Girona’s Old Town, just 100 metres from the cathedral. The simple rooms have private bathrooms, and there is a free Wi-Fi hotspot.

The rooms are decorated with antique-style furniture. Many have original stone walls, and all have heating. I can't speak highly enough of the pension. The photos give some idea of how unique and authentic this place is. Travelling solo, I had a spacious room, a comfortable bed and facilities you'd expect in a 4 or 5 star hotel. And the hosts - You would go a long way to meet more friendly, pleasant, and helpful people such as Margarita and Cristina. Although the room didn't have a shower (external one came with a key to lock for private use), it had a hand basin and towel. A towel/dressing gown and slippers also provided!
