We really enjoyed our staying in this hotel. It is a cosy family hotel. Ben and Nico & family made us feel very welcome. The room was recently renovated, and we’re glad that they kept a German touch ;) The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also very good, fresh and there was enough choice. I’m very thankful for the fresh glutenfree sandwiches I got every morning. ☺️ Upon our arrival, we received free tickets from Ben, so we were able to freely use the public transport during our whole staying. Really practical, since there is a bus stop 5 minutes walk from the hotel. And Cochem is just a 9 minutes bus ride away. Ernst was a perfect location from which we could easily travel and visit other villages allong the Moselle region. We enjoyed our vacation and will certainly come back to this hotel!

The property has an outdoor dining area. Hagenbach is a really beautiful town nearby to Karlsruhe. The house is in the very old part with narrow streets very traditional. My room and the bathroom were very well laid out and practical for someone who is travelling for work. Everything was very clean and the kitchen had everything you needed Most people who come for the trade shows would normally stay in the centre of Karlsruhe. If you stay in Hagenbach you do need to drive but it's only 15-20 minutes away. I would say that it's a very good option if you're driving.

The property features river views and is 46 km from Maria Laach Abbey and 48 km from Nuerburgring. Our host was incredibly accommodating and obviously takes great pride in caring for her guests. She met us at check-in, walked us through everything, and coordinated breakfast. The rooms were spotless and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for us after visiting Burg Eltz that afternoon, before making our way down the river back home. Parking is on site. There are walking paths behind the house. She gave us excellent recommendations for dinner. The downstairs is accessible for an open tab on wine and beverages after hours as well as access to the terrace with a view of the river. She served us, sat and chatted with guests during breakfast, and was just lovely in general. She also made our children hot chocolate in the morning, which she joked was the best in Germany- but my kids actually said it was the best they'd had! We had the studio on the top floor, which was spacious, new, the entire kitchen, spacious bathroom, and even washing machine. The interior was modern. It was very hot and there was even an air conditioner.. we felt comfortable. The apartment is walking distance from the bus and train station. I would come back any time. We felt at home dealing for a week.
