Totally amazing place to stay! Highly recommended. First of all, it is only 7 mins walk from the ancient city of pangyao. It is also so nearby the railway station. You can go by DIDI or bus, both are so convenient. Second, the decor of the place is AMAZING! I couldn’t help take pictures and video when i first came it. They even have a swing and glass-fish! The staff are so friendly and nice people. The Owner gave me water when i first came and when i left. Whenever i ask for anything she always helps. They have bar and food there with nice prices. I didn’t eat there but saw the food, it looked so delicious. The rooms were also amazing, it is two levels bed and mine was the one above. Surprisingly, it was so comfortable too. When i move it doesn’t vibrate into the bottom bed. The toilet is clean and they have shower gel, hair shampoo, small towel, and toothbrush with toothpaste ready for you to use. The air conditioner works fine and the wi-fi is connected from my room.

Amazing location, right in the center of ancient town of Pingyao but still very quiet. The room is very beautiful, clean and there is all you need for a comfortable stay. Ji is amazing. I highly recommend a short or longer stay at the Ji Family Courtyard Inn.

In the Ancient City close to the East Gate from were you can enter the walls.

Set in Pingyao in the Shanxi Region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Xiangshengyuan Hostel features a terrace and views of the city. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and free maps of Pingyao is offered. This is a family-run hotel with the whole family pitching in. They were delightful and keen to be helpful with lots of cups of tea, advice and assistance with purchasing tickets. It felt like I was staying with friends. Very little english, but fearless with using translation apps. Very thoughtful - gave me a bottle of water for the train home after dropping me at the station. The standout for this property was the staff. I wish them every success with their business.

Datong Yunzhong Traditional Courtyard is located in Datong Ancient Town, a 5-minute walk from Huayan temple and Nine Dragon Wall. It is a quadrangle courtyard Inn with traditional decoration. Free Wi-Fi access is available. Like living in ancient times, but with modern facilities. Lovely architecture and very thoughtful interior design. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Ideal location. Nice touch of providing fruits and snacks in the room and unique takeaway items.

It is located in Ancient City of Pingyao, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It provides massage service, barbecue facilities and daily tour arrangements. This is an awesome place to fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the ancient city of Pingyao! The location is very convenient. Inside the old town, but you can walk from the North gate in 10 minutes or less. That being said, the hotel staff really does speak English, which will make things much easier during your stay. For example, this hotel was very helpful in organizing one-day-trips out of the town, it took literally 5 minutes to coordinate with the hostess the route and start time we needed. We had a spacious room on the second floor with three beds. I think it is quieter than the first floor rooms. There are a lot of guests and visitors, there is still someone running around in the courtyards on the first floor in the evenings, but our upstairs hallway was very quiet. The room has slippers, kettle and cups, drinking water, which is replenished every day, shower gel and shampoo. The bed linen and towels are clean, the room is cleaned every day. There were no questions about water supply and sewerage, everything works normally. There is also a good number of European-style electrical outlets. WiFi was very good as well. The hotel serves a very varied breakfast. There is a Chinese-style breakfast in buffet form. For guests unaccustomed to such dishes, there is an additional menu with an excellent choice. (Actually, this is why the hotel does not include breakfast in the room rate in advance. You can choose different options at different prices.) You will also be served tea and coffee in the format we are used to at breakfast. Very comfortable. There are probably a lot of pictures here already, but I'll give in to temptation and attach a couple of my own. There is also a “Switzerland-breakfast" on my picture.
