This hotel is a gem for many, many reasons. If you care about your impact on the environment as a tourist, if you have young kids, if you are a dog lover, if you want a relaxed atmosphere - this is your place. The building has been constructed with attention to detail and a focus on reusing materials, rainwater is collected, local produce is cooked (by the wonderful Fernando) and from the moment you arrive, the warmth and friendliness of Victoria envelopes you. There were two families with young children staying when we were there and it was wonderful to see how relaxed they were as their kids pottered around the garden and petted the hotel dogs. This was a highlight of our 6 week trip in Chile and is highly recommended. Also, the breakfast is great!

Set in Puerto Varas, Los Lagos region, Hostel Casa Apel is situated a 19-minute walk from El Paseo Pier. Among the various facilities of this property are a garden, a terrace and a shared lounge. Staff was great and especially the kitchen very well equipped! We enjoyed our time and would definately come back :)

From the warm welcome when we arrived until the minute we left, our stay here was wonderful. Andrea and Esteban are amazing hosts and everything here is imbued with so much love and care. Breakfast was really nice as well. There is a beautiful garden by the water where you can enjoy the sunset. We wished we could have stayed longer!
