The mango guest house is really a little oasis on Elephantine Island. Mohammed was amazing to us and he allowed us to meet Ahmed who took us on his feluka. That was the highlight of this travel to Egypt. The hotel itself is calm, super clean, with a comfortable room. You have to take a boat to join the hotel but it passes often and only costs 10EGP per person.

The guest house has private entrance. Great location on an island. The accommodation was clean and spacious. Very nice host Abu. Nevertheless, we were very late he was there in the middle of the night to give us a boat ride to the guesthouse and offer some water, juice and fruits. He arranged also a morning boat for us. In the afternoon when we were back from the day trip there was a lunch waiting for us with everything we agreed on the day before. We already had our day trips organized prior to arrival, but I would absolutely trust him to organize activities around Aswan.

The location is excellent, and our host was lovely and incredibly helpful. This place truly exceeded our expectations. Initially, we had some doubts based on our previous experiences in Egypt, but La Terrace turned out to be one of the best in terms of location, views, and price.Situated on Elephantine Island, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The room was spacious, featuring three beds and a cozy bathroom, equipped with all the basic facilities we needed. The island itself is perfect for grounding, relaxing, and taking things slow. Accessing the island from the pier was a breeze, with an affordable boat ticket that took us there in less than 3-4 minutes.Additionally, there are plenty of restaurants around, making it convenient to explore local dining options. We would definitely come back and stay longer next time!

Location was awesome, just a few steps from the ferry boat pier and minutes away from main attractions of the island.
Arranged pickup for us from the airport at a late hour and helped us get on a boat to the island without any problems Easy access to major sites, had great contacts for drivers and boat tours at reasonable prices. Next to a family owned restaurant called King Jamaica, which offered great Nile sunset views and had a very interesting mixed clientele both locals and tourists
Lovely hosts, lovely view of the Nile. Host very helpful with organising transport to attractions such as Abu Simbel and the botanical gardens. The locals on the island are all very friendly and talkative. Lots of good food places on the island asw well. Room was very clean. Organised a boat transfer for us for free to get onto the island for the first time.
its a good hostel and shoaib is very helping person
Great hostel in Abu Dhabi. Very nice location, tidy and clean. The staff is so friendly. I do recommend staying here.
Specially miss pretty She was great host
Amazing service from the staff (Rena&Rena) and the managers Tahir and Esraa for sorting out a booking site issue with no problems My deepest thanks :-) It was no problem leaving at 4M for an early drive to Abu Simbel - the 10 minute ferry runs all night and a continental breakfast from 3am with a foil takeout box upon asking. The 360 panorama is absolutely spectacular and a great choice over the Cataract Hotel - thankyou for the room upgrade to a wonderful garden suite - it was greatly appreciated 😊
The experience is unmatched. First homestay and very memorable. Family friendly atmosphere. Comfy room and bathrooms. Trip along the Nile to Philae Temple. Eating dinner together was special. Really tasty food. Relaxing in the evening and listening to locals play music. Being able to absorb the Nubian culture was special.
Bassam was a great host. The effort he has put into the roof area was really amazing, such a nice space to hang out and chat with him and other travellers. Showers were hot, AC was great. It was nice to stay on the West Bank and use the ferry over to the main city on the East Bank with all the locals. Very cheap and easy, but is something to be aware of. Great WiFi in the rooftop area, plenty of spaces there to chill out.
