We are in luck because the property is new! We chose to stay here because we wanted to experience how is it feels like staying in a local heritage houses in Penang. We love how the owner transformed the prewar shophouses into modern living heritage guesthouse while preserve the authenticity vibes of the property. Our stay at Aayu Penang was absolutely wonderful! The room was clean and very comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. We stayed in a slightly noisy area, but that was part of the charm. It’s a lively, cultural neighborhood full of character and local flavor. The location couldn’t be better—close to everything! We were able to walk to local attractions, try amazing street food, and soak in the rich heritage of Penang right outside our door. The owner is really helpful and very informative about everything. They even gave us late check-out as our flight got delayed. Also the staffs who work here are charming and friendly. We felt very welcomed here. Aayu is a great choice if you're looking for an authentic and convenient place to stay. We truly enjoyed our time here. See you next time Penang!
