We rented two rooms and and two bathrooms. Great communication from before arrival to after departure. Very clean and tidy. Everything needed provided including basic toiletries, towels, sterilised UV irradiated booked water. Fridge access. Welcome drink and morning hot drink freshly made and provided. Toilets cleaned during our stay. Air-conditioning and fans. Secure quiet complex. View of the river. Enjoyable stay and we will likely return in the future. Thanks Mr Mohan for your hospitality.

Manoji and Manitha are a lovely couple and made me feel so welcomed and cared for in my first 24 hrs in Sri Lanka. They picked me up from the airport and were the perfect welcome to Colombo. the Highbury Colombo is a beautiful architecturally designed house and garden, and feels very secluded despite being in the big city. I had a very peaceful one night stay and a delicious homemade Sri Lankan breakfast in the morning before I left to the south coast. I would highly recommend the Highbury as a beautiful spot to stay in Colombo - I would absolutely go back :) thank you!

Unlike anything I’ve seen before. Rooms and common areas are artfully decorated with trinkets from around the world. My room was overlooking the lake and it felt like I was living in the jungle, surrounded by plants. Bed was super comfy and the rain shower was great. The pool and view over the lake were incredible. Staff were attentive and friendly. Food was delicious, we had plans to head out to Colombo but decided to stay and enjoy the property and had all our meals there. A personalised experience with great hosts, thanks for everything!

We really enjoyed our time at Mohan’s homestay. It was exceptionally clean, very comfortable, and Mohan was a great host. Breakfast was delicious and served on a balcony that provided a perfect spot for birdwatching. Thank you Mohan for your wonderful hospitality.

Great host. Really helpful in nature, peaceful location, a bit farther away from main attraction area of Colombo, a bike/scooter/tuk tuk/bus needed for commuting between Galle face, Pettah, Fort area. Great budget option. Really homestay like feeling, finally stayed there for more than one instances, the owner became a friend, still in connection with her. Without a word she agreed to keep our luggage when we were out of Colombo for further journey. Would like to repeat the same option of staying here.
