We really appreciated our time at Sunil’s place, the view was amazing and you are surrounded by jungle. The first night he took us on a night walk to look out for wildlife ! We had dinners, lunches and breakfasts with his family and every meal was different and so delicious ! We visited Sinharaja with Sunil, he is a famous bird guide in the area and we weren't disappointed by his eye for wildlife. He is incredible ! His knowledge and understanding of the bird sounds is crazy. We walked for about 14 kms and saw many lizards, snakes, birds, dragonflies, butterflies and monkeys. We shared a lovely time together, being connected with nature and wildlife. We really recommend this place for those who love wildlife. Thank you so much for our stay !

My sister and I loved our stay at Evergreen Villa! It’s the perfect place to explore Sinharaja Forest Reserve. The family and staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist. We used the villa as a base for our activities in the forest, which we booked directly through them. We did an evening/night walk—an experience we highly recommend—and two day-treks in the jungle to spot wildlife and admire waterfalls. Our guide, Mr. Ruan, was simply exceptional—extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to our needs. Our room was spotless and spacious, with a breathtaking view of the river and forest, along with a lovely private patio—perfect for relaxing. We also enjoyed vegan meals prepared by the family at their restaurant. One of the highlights of our stay was spending time with the wild dogs roaming the property, especially a mother with her three playful pups—they truly added to the experience! After our morning excursion in the jungle, the owner kindly allowed us to do a late check-out and take a shower before leaving—something we truly appreciated. We highly recommend Evergreen Villa for its excellent location, warm hospitality, and unforgettable nature experiences!

The location is idyllic, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty—it truly feels like stepping into a peaceful oasis. The rice and curry were delicious, with generous portions. Amazing location with view to the family garden/tea plantation and the river, many birds and wildlife passing by (saw a few peacocks flying in front of the balcony which still surprises me!).The couple is super caring/attentive and serve amazing, diverse and plenty of food. The room is quite big with a cozy decoration and plenty of seating and a lovely balcony.
