Loved staying at the Village Life Mihinthale. The room is clean, has comfy, soft bedding, and has all essentials.Good lighting and plenty of electric sockets to charge our devices and work with my laptop.The bathroom was spotless and excellent hot water, so easy to use. The host, Mr. Gihan, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. His friendliness and hospitality were amazing. He arranged to show us the glamor of the sunset on Mihintale rock.There is a really nice viewpoint to watch the sunset and surroundings peacefully. The breakfast options were amazing.Host Gihan's mother made delicious Sri Lankan foods with love. Rice and curry was heavenly.Mr. Gihan arranged our transport, and the driver was also very professional. We love everything about this place. We will certainly be back!

The location is ideal for visiting the sites in Anuradhapura. Breakfasts and dinners were fantastic. Real expert cooking. The owners were exceptional, very kind and went above and beyond in the care of their guests and our driver. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable with air-conditioning, soft clean linen, towels and hot water. We fully recommend Sidhangana Home Stay.

Janaka is THE host—truly exceptional in the hospitality scene in Sri Lanka. He is incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel completely at home, while also being highly professional and attentive to all our needs. He went out of his way to help us plan our days in Mihintale exactly as we wished—and what he managed to organize for us was no small feat! He was also genuinely concerned for our safety throughout our stay: while Sri Lanka is a very safe country, his attentiveness was still much appreciated. The food cooked by his wife was amazing—made with quality ingredients, prepared beautifully, and full of bold, authentic flavor. Easily one of the top three meals we had in Sri Lanka. If you're planning a trip to Anuradhapura or Mihintale to explore the sacred Buddhist sites, and you're looking for something authentic and off the tourist trail, stay in Mihintale. It's rich with temples and spiritual atmosphere. Stay at Janaka’s place, ask him for advice, and you won’t be disappointed.

Very hospitable and kind owner, helped us from the moment of booking and check-in. Also, thank you very much for accommodating us with a dog (this is rare) The family room is very spacious and equipped with everything you need, we even watched a movie via HDM cable. From the balcony we looked at the stars and enjoyed the evening, there is a refrigerator in the hotel, which also helped to preserve food and fruit. Everything went just great, we will definitely stay here again when we come! And there is also a small lake nearby, in which fish live (just like a house park)

A great find on our trip. Extremely kind and friendly hosts. Food was delicious..we had an evening meal..was lovely. Breakfast was amazing. A great family run business. And you are within easy reach of all the lovely sacred sites of Anuradhapura. Any questions were answered.100 percent recommend. A great young waiter too who shared his home grown bannanas. From start to finish, our stay at Emerald was amazing! The room was super clean and comfortable, The bathroom was spacious with large shower and plenty of warm water The breakfast and dinner were both outstanding, with well-prepared local dishes that really showcased the flavors of the area. The hosts were exceptionally kind, always ready to assist and make sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend this place

Not far from the railway station :) The host is amazing - we were even picked up from a befriended TukTuk driver at a veeery good rate! Bottle of water in the room :) The bed was ABSOLUTELY one of the most comfortable ones we ever had in Sri Lanka & with a mosquito net, fan & AC. The bathroom was spacious & clean :) There was a water heater for the shower :) If we're ever back in Anuradhapura, we'll stay there :) Restaurant & shop nearby.
