Pleasure of staying at a Bawa's guest house for one night and was truly impressed by the warm and homely ambiance it offered. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at ease, thanks to the exceptional service and the immaculately clean surroundings. The guest house exuded a sense of comfort and coziness that immediately made me feel at home. The decor was tasteful and inviting, with personal touches that added to the overall charm of the place. The room I stayed in was not only well-appointed but also spotlessly clean, reflecting the meticulous attention to detail that the owners put into maintaining their establishment. What truly set is they were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to assist with any request I had. Whether it was providing local recommendations or ensuring that I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, their hospitality was exceptional. In addition to the wonderful service and cozy atmosphere, the guest house also offered a delicious breakfast and tea that further enhanced my overall experience. The homemade touches and variety of options made for a delightful start to the day, setting a positive tone for the rest of my stay. Overall, my one-night stay at this guest house was a truly memorable experience. I left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, grateful for the warm hospitality and comfortable accommodations that made me feel right at home. The best hotel in Sri Lanka in my opinion and my wife's. Incredible view of tea plantations and clouds! Lots of walking paths. Excellent local cuisine, delicious coffee and the best service in Haputale! Stayed here 6 times: alone, with my wife, with my wife and children. Very comfortable mattress and cool weather which makes for a very good night's sleep. And I will come back more than once! Beautiful garden in the yard, delicious food, hospitable host. Lots of hiking routes nearby. Incredible view of the clouds right from the balcony, you can watch how the clouds are born and how they disappear. Feels like you are in paradise! I thank the creators for this place with all my heart!

If you travel to Sri Lanka, it would be a huge loss not to spend at least a night in Haputale, at this guesthouse. This was one of the best places we have ever stayed at in our many years of traveling. The host, Saman, and his family, truly made us feel part of their family. We only stayed 2 nights, but it felt like we were staying at an old friend’s family house. They have a wonderful house overlooking the hills. The rooms are wonderful: clean, spacious, with a balcony and with some of the best views we have seen. The location is simply wonderful, in the middle of hills covered with tea plantations. The host showed us a short hike right behind the house through tea plantations, with views of forests, hills, and lakes. The guest house is perfectly located as a starting point for many of the nature attractions in the area. Saman is such an amazing host, and he will go out of his way to help you plan your stay and organize trips around to Lipton’s Seat, Horton Plains, waterfalls, or anywhere else. Our stay in Haputale was definitely a highlight of a trip, and we definitely recommend it if you’re looking to stay in a wonderful location that is a lot less touristy than Ella. This guesthouse is a place where you will feel like home, you will be surrounded by some of the best views, and where the hosts will go out of their way to help you. The breakfasts were delicious and very filling, and so were the dinners, homecooked by Saman’s family. We also highly recommend taking a cooking class at the homestay with Saman’s family. This was definitely one of our highlights, as we got to know the family, learn more about Sri Lankan cooking while preparing 5 different curries, and finally enjoy a dinner with our hosts after many hours of cooking and laughter with the family. The entire experience is worth more than what you pay for, and the family will really make your stay unforgettable. Book your stay here, you will not regret it.

The staff are wonderful. I must mention Bushbar who was so accommodating, kind and helpful. We had a delicious takeaway breakfast on checkout as we had an early train back to Colombo. The room was very comfortable, breakfast and dinner very good. Location is a 15 minute walk or 5 minute tuk tuk drive from the main street of Haputale which we loved. Great place to stay with plenty of walking through the tea plantations and small villages. Liptons Seat is only an hour tuk tuk ride away - the full day walk back to The Nest is beautiful. Highly recommend if staying in Haputale.

I had a great stay at Adisham Village Home. The views from the rooms are stunning, with a beautiful mountain backdrop. The property is very clean and well maintained. The room had a kettle and hot water, which made the stay even more comfortable. There is also a washing machine available for guests to use free of charge, a kitchen with utensils, and a sitting room with games and activities that guests can share and enjoy. It is a great location for those who want to do the Pekoe Trail. The railway station is not far and can be reached easily by walking or by bus in about five minutes. Mr. Sameera, the host, was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Haputale.

Beautiful house at remote location in the mountains. This is the perfect place for everyone who is looking for a quite place surrounded by nature. Munira is the nicest host and all the staff is amazing. We had breakfast and dinner at the house and it was always very delicious! Highly recommended!

The home is beautiful and very well built. It sits on a hill therefore, the view is amazing and you are immersed in nature. The family that owns and runs the home is so friendly and accomodating. We were given an amazing breakfast along with advice on our travels. I conclusion: the place and location is beautiful, the home is very clean and the food is very good but most importantly the family of this home are very friendly and make the stay extremely worth it. If you are visiting Haputale I really reccomend this place. My father and I were very satisfied with everything they had to offer including the proximity it has to the town. Thank you for hosting us!

Amazing woman in an amazing location. The entire take is “rustic living” in Sri Lanka: boiled water for the shower with natural herbs from the garden, home cooked food over an open fire, and the best sleep you’ll get in town. I’ve stayed in many Homestay across South Asia — nothing have compared to the quality and hospitality of this. Thanks so much Gesheila :)

The homestay offers incredible views, large, comfortable rooms, and a peaceful atmosphere. But the most special part of Nilowin is the kind, helpful family who run the guesthouse and the delicious, fresh, home cooked food in an idyllic setting. Our whole family took the cooking class and learned so much about Sri Lankan food and culture. I can't recommend it enough. The local village and tea fields are beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed it all so much that we extended our stay.

Short walk to town, nice view on terrace. Really lovely hosts and really good curry for dinner. We also were able o be picked up to get to the guest house and leave our bags for free.

We actually loved staying here and knew the moment we came that we wanted to stay another night! Everybody was so amazing and helped us organise our trips :) The food was also really really good! Shirodh was our driver for the 2-3 days and made our experience a lot better here! He stopped everywhere we wanted to and also explained and showed us many things! All in all we loved the welcoming family and their homestay with its amazing view of the mountains and tea plantations!
