Kumudu was very helpful all the time although we just stayed for one night. We were allowed to use his kitchen without any extra fee. The WIFI also did his job. Showering was able with WARM water.

Piyal was a total gentleman. He was hospitable, informative, and efficient. He organised transport for us ( both during and onwards)made phone calls and booked the cultural show for us. I think he spoke better English than me!!! The Grove itself is beautiful. It had all the facilities required ( no refrigerator in room or kettle but filter water available on tap in the shared lounge and Tea/ coffee on request). It was spotlessly clean. Dinner was available via the hotel next door- it was brought over for you so you wouldn't really have noticed. Beer was also available. There was also a pool next door, a 3 minute walk. It has spectacular views- one of the highlights of the Grove.

Lovely and peaceful homestay just outside Kandy. Perfect if you want to escape the crowds in Kandy and if you like to catch the train to Ella from Peradeniya station. The hosts are very kind and willing to help. They had cooked marvellous rice and curry for us. One of the best we had in Sri Lanka. The breakfast is also a delicious Sri Lankan treat. We stayed one night, but we would have loved to stay more. Highly recommend to stay a bit longer as the hosts also know a lot of non-touristic places to explore in the surroundings

Everything here was perfect. The bed was comfortable, shower was hot with great pressure, everything clean and well looked after. It is very peaceful and quiet, and the view of the mountains and river is better than any TV ! The private balcony added extra comfort. Surrounded by green trees and monkeys. The breakfast was superb, deliciously home cooked. Suresh even gave me equipment to cut some fruits I bought in the evening. Dinner and lunch is available for an extra cost, and the dinner I had was equally delicious! Suresh and his wife have created a beautiful place for travellers to stay. I came here after Dhamma Kuta, and it was exactly what I needed. I recommend anyone to stay here. Thank you so much.

We loved everything about this place! We were only sad we couldn't stay longer. Deer Hill is run by such a welcoming and kind family who were the highlight of our stay. They prepared an exceptional breakfast and dinner for us each day and saw to our every need. They even arranged a van for us to go to Pidarungala Rock and drove us there as a family! 🥹 The rooms and living area at Deer Hill are spacious and comfortable, and the view from the balcony was just lovely. The place is located in such a beautiful environment close to nature, without being too far from the city. It's perfect! I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Kandy 🩵

This property has amazing views, so clean and beautiful. The best thing about this place though is the family, I will never forget how warm hearted they were and instantly felt like they cared for me. Staying at this hotel was one of the best decisions I made during my trip to Kandy! The owner and his family were incredibly friendly, warm, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their hospitality truly made me feel like part of the family. The hotel itself was spotless and very well-maintained. It offers excellent service at a very affordable price – absolutely the best value for money in the area. I was also able to rent a bike, car, and even a three-wheeler at very cheap rates, which made getting around Kandy so convenient. The location is perfect too – peaceful, surrounded by nature, with the most stunning view and a calm, cool climate throughout the day. It’s an ideal spot for anyone looking to relax and enjoy some quiet time. And I must mention the breakfast . it was incredible! Honestly, one of the best meals I had in Kandy. Fresh, delicious, and full of authentic flavors. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kandy .I’ll definitely be coming back!
