Seriously I cannot pick out any bad things about this homestay. The room is SO spacious and omg the bed is SUPER comfy! The homestay owner is the sweetest lady and the family took care of me so well. Fantastic breakfast, top quality laundry service(seriously better than the city center), great location. I know for a fact that most of the accommodations in the city center here in Ella can be pretty pricey unless you choose hostel, this is your best choice if you’re on a budget but also wanna have a private room and at the same time still want a good location to access the city center. I rented a scooter and from this homestay to city center it only took around 5 minutes. 100% would recommend to everyone I LOVE this homestay so much.

The location is beautiful, it has a very romantic vibe to it. The way they have built the wooden cabin is so aesthetic and well planned. The hosts were super helpful and the breakfast was amazing

Amazing european-scandi room with all necessary amenities, lovely private terasse to enjoy and delicious breakfast served. Kind, frendly and helpfull owner. Great location. Easy to reach from any point od Ella city. Individual approach. Even 4am breakfast was not an issue! Truly appreciated. We have rebooked this room again for next 2 stays, after coming from Arugan Bay, as value for money is great and service is superb!

Beautiful and clean accommodation in the hearth of nature. Hotel included a large bathroom, where hot water flowed without problems. We had a very tasty Sri Lankan breakfast in the accommodation, which also included coffee. We also took advantage of the dinner option - delicious Sri Lankan. The hotel is in a quiet part, not in the city center, but the owners provided us with a tuk-tuk transfer from the station (free) to the center and back. There is a scooter rental option at the accommodation. The family is very friendly, nice and very helpful. Among other things, they also arranged for us a share taxi to Udawalawe, a jeep driver in Udawalawe, etc. Wave to everyone and see you later!

What sets this place apart is not just the outstanding accommodations but also the tranquil surroundings. The room is situated in a nature-friendly environment, surrounded by calmness and devoid of any noise. Breathing in the fresh air made me feel incredibly serene, and the natural setting, reminiscent of a paradise in the middle of a jungle with a tea estate, added to the charm. The bathroom, designed to make you feel like you're in the middle of the trees, contributed to the overall calming ambiance. The hot water and water pressure were perfect, exceeding my expectations. The spacious room offered more than ample space, and the thoughtful inclusion of tea, coffee, and Nescafe added a homely touch. Additionally, there was even a checkerboard, providing extra entertainment. Spacious and very clean room, equipped with a kettle, cups and tea and mosquito repelĺent Delicious and satisfying breakfast with a variety of western and Sri Lankan delicacies.     Lovely host family, very welcoming. Amazing views from the terraces on each level. Rooms are comfortable with hot water showers and air con. Great breakfast in the morning. We asked for omelettes the second day and this was not a problem. Just bear in mind there is a very steep hill down to the accommodation so bear in mind if you have any difficulty mobility wise. The Main Street is very close for restaurants etc and the walk to the nine arch bridge and little Adam’s peak is quite close from the homestay.

    We really loved our stay in Happy Horizon Home Stay. Very nice owners, great breakfast, beautiful view, ... You can easily reach Ella town by foot and Happy Horizon Homestay is the ideal starting point for a hike to Ella rock.

    Great place, just out of town,ealkable or plenty of tuktuks avail. just a note,its up a few flights of stairs so would be difficult for someone with mobility issues to access. Beautiful views, wonderful breakfast. Lovely host family.

    This is a beautiful homestay where you can relax, the room terrace is big and has an amazing view where you can also enjoy your breakfast. The breakfast and dinner are delicious, taste and the best part is that they make it. The host family is incredible and help you in every moment. I wish them all the best for the future.
