Simoya Park is a small boutique hotel run by a lovely local family, who go above and beyond in hospitality - the aim is to make your stay comfortable. The room was impeccable, large bed and crispy clean bed sheets. Little details like fresh flowers decorations and an amazing shower with a view to a jungle. The room also has a balcony and a front terrace, where you can enjoy meals prepared by the hosts. Simoya owners can also organise local travel and transfers on requests. They know about their country and explain you about it with passion. If you want to have a very relaxing stay in a very tranquil area - Simoya Park can be your home away from home.

I had a wonderful time at this lovely homestay. I was picked up from the bus station and the rest of the days also taken everywhere for a small price with the owner's tuktuk. A very nice man who helps you with everything. He thinks along with you and goes out with you or waits for you. His wife and daughters are also very nice and the food is delicious and can be adjusted to your dietary requirements. I highly recommend this place, especially for women traveling alone!

Perfect location for visiting different sites in the area, rooms were spotless and comfortable. The owners are the nicest people you could wish for. They were very helpful when we planned our sightseeing tours and also organised different tuktuk transport for us. Breakfasts and dinners were the best we have eaten in Sri Lanka and we learned quite a bit about Sri Lankan cuisine..

Everything was perfect. The family is very nice. They are always trying to feel you like home. I could arrange with my host 3 tours to places I wanted to see, so it was very convinient for me. The room is comfortable, the breakfast is exceptional, and also they prepared a typical Sri Lanka's meal for me and for the other 4 guests for free. He offered to pick me up with no extra charge at the bus station, but as I was moving by car, it was not necessary. He helped me to take the bus to Kandy, using his tuk-tuk taking me to the bus stop and also helping me to take the correct bus, and all for free too. I strongly recommend this place to everybody

Heartwarming hospitality and delicious food What a fantastic stay at Sunvsh Homestay. The host Anu is very friendly as soon as the booking was confirmed she were helped to planned the trip we needed at a low price compared to other places. Location is very good short walking to Dambulla Rock Temple and City Centre. While having breakfast you can watch birds, butterflies, squirrel and monkeys in the garden. Anu's mother food is excellent. We enjoyed sri Lankan rice and curry. Definitely the best meals that we had in sri Lanka. I would recommend eating there if you stay don't miss that amazing opportunity and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend people stay here.

The owner was very nice and helpfull. He gave us free lift to bus. The sleeping was very good because of total darkness and quiet outside. Delicious local style breakfest. The room was big with big bathroom, everything perfectly clean. The location is short walk from stairs to the Rock tempel and archeology side.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property located right in the heart of a palm plantation. The host and staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring every detail was taken care of for a perfect experience. The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great care. One of the highlights was the guided walk through the plantation, where we learned so much about the local agriculture. The sunrise view was breathtaking! We truly regret not being able to stay longer. Highly recommended!

They cooked amazing food for us, homegrown from their own farm and Ruan sat with us through each meal and we had great conversations with him.     Clean bed and spacious room. The food was amazing and the host and his family were friendly and generous. The area was quiet but it was easy enough to get into Dambula town; the home stay was also very close to the cave temple and rock, an easy 15 minute walk.

    Host family are very friendly and kind. They prepared a huge breakfast for us every morning with tea and coffee. They also drove us to dinner when it was raining in their tuk tuk. There are mosquito nets over the bed. The hot water system doesn’t get super hot (which was the same in all our home stays) but it was warm. The home stay is walking distance from restaurants.

    My stay at Pradeep’s homestay was absolutely wonderful. The place is beautifully located offside the busy streets in a rural area. Homemade food, a stroll through the own garden, having a nap in the hammock and a swim in the nearby river - is everything you wish for. I could have stayed for 2 weeks easily. If you are looking for a calm place to ease off, a lovely family home stay and like to experience real life in sri lanka, this is the place to go! it‘s really 12/10.

    amazing host - a family run home stay who welcome you warmly and provide all information and advice you need to make the most of your stay in Dambulla and surrounds. huge and delicious breakfast each morning. host dropped us in town (homestay is a 10 min walk from town) and cave temple in his tuk tuk. stay here - you won’t regret it!
