Beautiful house - the architecture and the decor is amazing. Very peaceful and in a nice neighbourhood. Delicious food, we had both dinner and breakfast. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful.

An exceptionally clean and spacious room in a quiet and green area outside Colombo. The bed and pillows were lovely and comfortable, which made for a restful night. There was a fridge and small kitchen area in the room, with a kettle, cups, plates, and basic utensils. The room had a TV, fan, and air conditioner. The bathroom is modern, with a lovely hot and cold walk-in shower. Soap and shampoo were provided. There was a large lounge and dining area separate to the sleeping area, available for my use. There was also a lovely veranda / balcony off the bedroom, with a table and 2 chairs to sit on. Gayathri was friendly and welcoming, and we had a lovely discussion upon my arrival. Breakfast is provided, but I left too early in the morning to enjoy this lovely addition.

Everything! This was on my bucket list for a very long time. Spending a night in the very house that the legend Geoffrey Bawa lived & worked was in itself a moving experience. Beautifully maintained by the trust. Every corner, every piece of furniture & art has a story to tell. Staff is wonderful & breakfast was delicious. Can't wait to return to Colombo & stay here again.

This place is an oasis in Colombo. We just had one overnight after our arrival at Colombo airport. It’s about 45min from the airport (wo. traffic jam). The interieur and garden area of the boutique hotel is really nice. The staff was very friendly and supportive. The Sri Lankan breakfast is a recommendation.

I liked EVERYTHING about Sayura house! What an absolute gem!     It’s a wonderful house. I didn’t realize it was a home stay, but was very grateful it was for my list night in Sri Lanka. When I walked in, music was playing and the water sounds coming from the indoor garden’s pond immediately made me feel like I had stepped out of the busy city and into an oasis. Relaxing house with lots of nooks and crannies, areas to curl up and read a book. I wish I had spent another night.
