It is a beautiful new property just off the main road. Large beautiful rooms and bathrooms! Huge terrace on top which is available to everyone. Abundant breakfast! But most of all the owners are amazing! They treat you like one of the family and nothing is too much trouble! This place is one of the top places in which we stayed in Sri Lanka! Would definitely recommend.

An absolute haven close to the sacred city sites of Anuradhapura. Peaceful, set back about 75m from the road. Beautifully appointed rooms and a welcoming dining/reception area - exactly as shown in the photos on this site. What the photos do not reveal is the exceptional service and kindness of the owner and all of his staff. Nor do they convey the outstanding quality of the meals served. It is rare to find a welcoming home away from home as good as Golden Ray Villa and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

This homestay is AMAZING. The room was big, clean and cozy. AC and fan worked perfectly. There was a nice lobby and a very peaceful front garden. Homemade traditional breakfast and lunch were also incredible. But the best part? Wasantha's hospitality!! He is always ready to help in anything you need, he will answer any questions you may have (even before or after leaving the homestay!) and he is willing to teach you about Sri Lanka's language and culture. He also arranged for us a full day safari in Wilpattu (we saw 4 leopards!!) and a tour in Anuradhapura. He is fully transparent with the prices and conditions and gives the best advice. In addition, he only works with tuktuk drivers and safari guides that he personally knows or that he knows have both the experience and values to make the best out of your day. If we ever go back to Anuradhapura, we will for sure repeat at his homestay!!!!

    Ceylonima Home stay is a must! Mapa and Kanchi are the best hosts ever. Mapa is super helpful when planning trips or taxis (their brother is a great driver!). Kanchi has spoiled us with the best food in Sri Lanka. The room and bathroom were beautiful too! We highly recommend the homestay.

    I had the most wonderful time at the Ceylonima Home Stay. It was my first accommodation in Sri Lanka and as a female solo traveler I felt very welcome and safe. I had dinner at the homestay the first evening which tasted great! The next day, Mapa gave me and my friends a tour through Mihintale. We really enjoyed learning about the Buddhist culture! Mapa and his wife make sure you have everything you need and the car ride to the train station is just perfect! Thank you for introducing me to your country😊

    Great hosts, very helpful and caring. We had the best food and a great tour to Mihintale for sunset! There are some bicycles for rent at the homestay so you can visit the old city easily. Everything was great, we really enjoyed our stay.
